The one I was using wobbled quite a bit from back to front. A 9/16" x 18" piece of plywood was screwed to the back of the post and then the mailbox was slid back over the post. There is no more wobbling. My job here was to attach the sheath to the post again.
You can only open it from the front, not from the side.
Red flags indicate that the mailbox is receiving mail, but I have no idea what a yellow entry flag signifies, so I would say that it is not.
There is no way for it to happen. To place a wooden post of 4x4, you have to use 4x4.

Follow the directions for post length but don't follow them! This builds upon the instructions that tell you to use a 60-inch 4-by-4 post. A 24 inch post would go in the ground and a 36-inch post would be inserted under As a result of following these instructions, I was able to accomplish that goal. Therefore, the mailbox top ended up being very wobbly as a result. In order to make the base more stable, the 4x4 should be inserted another 10 to 15 inches into it. As I mentioned earlier, I already poured in the 4x4 post. I will need to add an extension 4x4 to the top of the post made up of 3 1/2 inches of aluminum stock and 1/8 inch of wooden stock for braces to fix this. It just doesn't sit well with me. As for the rest of the mailbox, it looks great and is well constructed. There needs to be a fix to the instructions or a clearer explanation. The bottom line is that you should measure inside the column base to determine how high the post should stand after you determine how an inch or so into the ground the post After cutting the 4 x 4, let it dry. Hopefully it helps someone else who is thinking of doing the same thing and doesn't make the same mistake as.
I noticed my old mailbox had started rusting and dedeteriorating after a few years. My mailbox was mowed by somebody the other day, and when I got home, I found it lying on its side. I get a lot of Amazon packages, and instead of delivering them to the front door, my mail carrier just loves to throw everything Is there anything I can Do I get a really small mailbox with a slot that irritates my mail carrier or do I buy something to hold packages so they do not have to go up our long driveway to deliver them? In the end, I went with the 2nd choice because it is sturdy and seems well built, and it is It's also very attractive, as I'm always on the lookout for mailboxes in my area and haven't seen anything like it. The Box sure holds a lot, and the mail carrier left me a note saying they liked the new box.
Be careful with the size of your numbers, as there are indentations on the side. Make sure to measure carefully. This is the size I used and they were perfect.
That's why I like this mail box so much, and I love how big it is, so I can get a lot of my Amazon stuff there. There were a lot of com packages in there. During installation, you will have to reach inside the mailbox with a screwdriver, which means you cannot use a full size screwdriver there, and there is no light inside, so you won't be able to see what you are doing inside. The directions should be followed Attach the bottom part of the mailbox to the pedestal with screws and then attach the rest. After you have attached the pedestal to the mailbox, you can assemble the rest of the mailbox. He's huge and very beefy, and it's a thing of beauty. bought this mail box after hours, and I called the company after hours to inquire about the lack of hardware I saw written in a review. They returned my call and I told them I was nervous about receiving my mailbox with no hardware. It took me just a few minutes to call the company and they promised to immediately send out replacement hardware at no charge, so I really enjoy doing business with them.
It appears that some of the kids who are rapscallion got the mailbox off of standard post on Bags of dirt. My front porch is usually full of Amazon packages almost every day, as is the case for most American families. As you can see, this makes This is quite important, and I can't emphasize it enough. Plastic is used for this project, and as long as some of the original post remains, it's very simple. All parts snap together, minus the base, which has four bolts and nuts. I attach it to the old mailbox using four outdoor torq screws (preferable). It's boom time. This is done. It's even easier for me to get junk mail now! However, not only should the packages fit better, they all need to.
In addition, I did not receive any hardware. I think it's a decent mailbox, aside from that. In any case, I will probably need to buy my own hardware now, since I don't know how hard it is to check a parts list. As a result of the red flag, I gave durability a low rating. The piece snapped into place with a snap. When it was installed, it broke. It was drilled out, and I fitted it with a 7/16 nut, bolt, and Even if it doesn't last very long, I think it will last longer. The first thing to remember when it's cold outside is to bundle up. In addition to the magnet that came with it, I added a third magnet I think will work well since the first one failed More details will be provided when I get the hardware to mount it since I did not receive any.
We have previously had two outdoor mailboxes that have enjoyed playing on the road and have failed to get out of the way when motorists drive by. There's a good chance this mailbox knows what it's doing. It was easy to install this mailbox since it slipped right over the post that was left behind when the car hit our mailbox. The car clipped the post this past time, leaving several feet of it exposed. It's also important to mention that the delivery driver enjoys having the extra large compartment. It will be no more cramming large Amazon envelopes into a mailbox that is too small. With the magnetic door lock, you can open and close it with ease. This lock has enough strength to keep the lid closed.
My Gibralter Mailbox was a surprise to me when it arrived at my home!
I had no idea it would be so large when it arrived at my The first thing I did after opening the box was The instructions were carefully followed. Then I attached all five of the panels to the base by attaching the base to the post. I was pleasantly surprised that the panels interlock and are very sturdy (once again). This mailbox is tilting over due to one component that surprised me I needed to put in a 60" 4/4 wooden post into the square plastic post of this mailbox to prevent it from tipping The same applies to cement as well. My overall impression of this mailbox is very positive. Furthermore, it has a magnet to ensure that the box's door stays shut as soon as the mail is inside (which should be why I need a new mailbox)! C. , I am satisfied with my purchase.
