The first two videos I watched were on installing a new mailbox on YouTube. The Gibraltar mailbox was just what I was looking for. took me about ten minutes to put it together. It's much easier than I expected to fit everything in place, lock it, and make it look nice. Additionally, I bought a 10 foot post that is easy to slide over. I consider it to be one of the best purchases I have ever My goal was to design an all-plastic mailbox so that it would not rust or corrode over time. Each of my neighbors now envies my new design. Excellent service and I'm very happy with my new mailbox! There are other styles of mailboxes available from Gibraltar. Alternatively, you can pick another style if this one is not your cup of tea.

there is a story to this, I forgot about the doors and it went on extremely easily the first time I put it together, so I was shocked that people were complaining about it. As soon as the doors were on, I realized they needed to go on first, It was one of the most frustrating things I have ever done, trying to get everything lined up and slide the top in while keeping both doors ready to close. I finally managed to get it to slide in correctly when I sat it down on my couch facing up and applied constant pressure along the sides and bottom. The final product looks and feels great once it's all put together.

Take note of I am referring to the bottom of the mailbox instead of the post attachment when I mention "base". In order to assemble the box, you supposedly snap the main body of the container into grooves on the bottom, then slide the container forward to lock it into It is EASIER to slide the body of the box forward when the narrower front part of the grooves is wider than the wider back part, so when the base is slid forward, the tabs pop out! The resulting difficulty in assembling it makes it impossible. If the grooves simply got narrower without becoming deeper, the parts could assemble. I'm not sure if mine came from a defective batch, but if the grooves got deeper, the parts wouldn't. Still, this is the case. In terms of withstand the slightest impact, this blow molded plastic thing would not be able to stand up to even the lightest knock.

A $50 plastic mailbox is certainly not Knowing better should have prevented me from making such a mistake.

I was originally a fan of (
I used to have an old metal mailbox with a door that kept popping open. ) I found this to be an easy piece to assemble. Getting the curved top to snap into the base proved to be the most challenging part. You need patience if you want to succeed. You only need to follow the directions so everything will work out fine. As I already had a 4x4 wood post in the ground, I slid this over and secured it with the 4 screws that came with it. I had to remove my old box when I unboxed the new boxes. It took less than 10 minutes from start to finish. It's a great product and I recommend it!.

The old box on my porch that had become rundown had to be replaced (a quick fix to the worn out box from last year) and I thought that one of these plastic boxes would be a good choice. That was a good decision. Installing the post was simple since the box was the same height as the post. Four screws (included) secured the box to the post. The post took just a few minutes to assemble, and it took even less time to place it over the post and screw it in. I am looking forward to the Thanks to my new mailbox, I'm eligible for free years! Depending on which way you look at it. Mailboxes that are solid. I love the way it looks. The materials are made of hard, non-rusting plastic. Got it for my new house. It was difficult to assess the assembly since I only gave three stars. My job role is jack of all trades and I have built mailboxes before. The majority of the things I do can be put together, even those that may seem difficult. I also have a great deal There was no way to stop this. There is just one main box and not all parts. Placing the bottom on top Slide it on rather than simply slide it I suspect you might need some extra hands if you read this article and are experiencing problems. Push down gently on both the top and sides of the slider at the same time to help it slide in, but make sure that it does not slide across the area. After plenty of cussing and moaning, I have obtained the answer. About 20 minutes were needed for me to do this. I guess that's not so It was a little frustrating when the instructions said it was an easy assembly, but you saw a video of a man doing it in under two minutes, as if it were really nothing! You should be able to handle this task if you grab another set of hands and keep your patience. It hasn't been one year yet, so I cannot tell you how this mailbox fared during the seasons. We like the sturdy mailbox, too, and it looks pretty good in our front lawn. I found installation to be straightforward. Additionally, we got a real test of how sturdy this mailbox is when a friend struck it as he was backing out of our driveway just two days after putting it up. Although it was a traumatic event for her, she apologized profusely, but she was very pleased with the mailbox. It was well made and held up well during the incident. There has been a lot of rain but none of the mail or packages have gotten wet. This is a 5 star review!.
