only need my mailman to tuck away my mail and smaller packages in it, not a fancy mailbox to hold my mail. I do not want to have to constantly work on or replace it it is just a simple operation that should work for a long time. Instead, the paint inside the box began peeling off after only a week or so. Meanwhile, the paint on the outside appears to be holding up. The metal door of this mail box, which was held on with cheap plastic rivets, is very sturdy. A month after they were launched, they failed and crumbled. Because of their size, 1/4" bolts are too small to go all the way up without breaking the threads. The door would not move. I replaced them with 1/4" bolts and lubricated the threads with loctite. This hassle could have been easily avoided if they had simply used metal rivets instead of what would have been a fully.

Although I like the look of this mailbox, the door was hanging there this morning with only one side attached. I repaired all the plastic bolts and screws holding the door together, but the bolt just came apart again. I replaced them but I'm sure that it will happen again as they are made of plastic. It's been a little more than a month since we received the mailbox.

The IT industry. ) mounting hardware was not supplied upon purchase 1) came with a broken hinge that I didn't notice until after the old mailbox was already removed from the post 2) doesn't fit the bracket on my old post. It is a huge pain in the a$$, no matter how you look at it!.

I like it a lot. The old mailbox was leaking and letting the mail get wet. It needed to be replaced. My mail is now dry after this one, and I am very happy with it. There are plenty of holes in the base (on the inside) and along the bottom (on the outside), so you can mount it on whatever base or pole you have. It does not come with any screws or bolts to help with installation All of those will need to be supplied by you.

The box as a whole is sturdy, however there are several items inside that are cheaply made We had a door magnet that had been chipped and now escapes (it had to be glued in place to fix), and the plastic flag had a piece of plastic that held the assembly together that broke when our delivery guy lowered it for the first time. Eventually, I may be able to find a metal bolt and nut to replace the broken part, but it will not yet function properly. If you're looking for a mailbox, look elsewhere to avoid the waste of time and money associated with this one.

It is the right size for what we need. You will find plenty of room in the mailbox for the mail, magazines, and medium Our favorite feature is the new look. It is well made and sturdy. Multiple screw holes for installation, easy to install. I love them more than the largest lock mailbox. (Not enough room to fit most of the mail into the lower unit.

As well as being easy to put up, the new box looked good and the mail carrier was pleased with it. A plastic flag broke off, mud splashed on the box and I gently wiped the mud off, and the flag fell off. It's been about four weeks since I bought it and the flag has broken off. I wasn't satisfied with how well it was made. When I do it again, I'll try buying locally and see what I get.
