I think it is a very nice looking post that As I was about to pour concrete to set the post, I decided to check the installation of the plate I had it in the wrong direction. It is stated in the instructions that the plate should be attached with the screws provided. I have attached an image that shows you what I mean It's pretty hard to do that. Every conceivable way I've tried to get the screws to fit has failed The holes are close to being centered, except for two that are off by more than You should therefore make sure that you check before pouring!.
I have no problems using it. Getting it set up and installed was simple. I didn't expect it to be as heavy duty as it was. It has happened to me three times in three months that people have backed into my mailbox and run it over. Ideally, I'd like it to be a little more solid so that when someone hits it, it will do more damage. I will concrete the pole next time and install a solid steel pole. I'll have to make do with this for now. Gravel served as the base for the installation. All in all, it took about one hour and fifteen minutes to complete the task. This is a reasonable price for a good product. The crazy neighborhood I live in may make it impossible for it to hold up.
Despite its small size, the post is strong and made of thick I love the way it looks installed and how well it fits into my Oasis 360. While the nail holes on the mailbox base plate did not exactly match the holes on the post base plate, I am satisfied and happy with the result. Screws are included with the post and base plate, so there is no need to purchase them.
