I am very impressed with the quality of this mailbox. An octopus is the only thing that can reach through it and take your mail. As a consequence of the rash of mail thefts in our neighborhood, we felt the time had come to stop them. With a 3/4" x 9 1/2" x 14" exterior rated hardwood pad and a carriage bolt nut washer combination of 5/16" x 1 and 1/2" (L), I attached the box securely to the post cross bars. In order to attach the pad to the cross posts I used multiple 2 and 3/4" stainless steel deck screws, and then I used carriage bolts to secure it to the cross posts. If you torque down the carriage bolts, their seat will embed into the bottom shelf of the box and be almost flat once it is done. There's no way to get rid of the box. During the first few cycles with new keys, the keys go in upside down (just a tip) and take a couple of cycles to go in smoothly.

Due to the fact that we are just looking for residential use, that was unnecessary, so instead, we decided to try this one. You've got it! I think it is just the right size. It fits the Amazon padded envelopes, and so far there have been no issues with mail theft. I would have a bit of difficulty prying it open because it feels pretty sturdy. I wanted our mailbox to be locked since we can see it from our bedroom but it is down a hill so it is a hike to get to it. Essentially, every set included one key because it came with four, which was great. I would recommend this mailbox to anyone who wants something good for their home. It has a nice clip if you want to mail things out in it, but I have not tried mailing anything in it. To me, it's preferable to take my paperwork straight to the post office rather than going through the mail.

Luckily, the paint on the mailbox was not damaged during the pry-opening process, which indicates that it took the thief very little effort. Using just pliers, we were able to bend the metal back into shape. It's incredibly misleading to call this a locking, secure mailbox when it's just a matter of pliers and a bit of force to reshape the metal. We have been trying to contact their customer service for more than a month and they have not responded. Save your money and get a better mailbox instead!.

I think this mailbox works well, it's well made, and it's well designed. A set of four keys came with it, and it was easy to install. The fact that I can access the contents through the rear door rather than retrieving my mail from the street is my favorite aspect of using this mailbox.
