The construction and finish are excellent. I had my handyman install it for me. The door has a stop so that it cannot swing all the way. To keep arms away from the mail slot, this is a good idea. As a result, my front door no longer displays large pieces of mail.

The Mail Drop Box Receptacle was plenty large enough for us to receive postal mail. It had to be connected to the mail drop through an extension of brick, studs, and an inside wall in order to go through the exterior brick, studs, and the inside wall. There would have been a benefit to having an already made extension Rather than wasting time and looking shoddy, I would have used the more efficient method. Despite their similar size, the Mail Drop Box Receptacle and the Mail Drop are well constructed and look very nice.
