We just installed it, and it seems to work well for our intended use. The security on the outside of the door is excellent, the security on the inside is moderate. *br/>Suggestions It is advised that the hole in the door is smaller than the instruction says to ensure a tight fit and to reduce the amount of caulk for weather resistance. In addition, it would have been nice to have plastic or rubber caps that covered too long screws, since it would be a hassle to cut them There is a misconception that countersunk screws are supplied by the factory, but those supplied by the manufacturer are actually "button head".
There is a small slot for the mailman to put his envelopes and I dislike that he has to fight to get them in.

Cutout templates are wrong for the product, don't waste your time, it isn't going to fit together. You will need to add 1/4" to the outline of the actual part. The slot door will pivot into the open position when a door is closed, reducing energy efficiency. I added small magnetic strips to make a counterweight, and the door now works as it should.
However, I would not recommend using it outdoors since it is not weather-resistant. There is some leakage of water. If it rains, anything you drop on the ground is going to get soaked.
They won't hold up in rain. In the box, the water gets into the mail and wets it.
