Yes, when the casters are locked, the swivel is also locked, ensuring that people and goods are kept safe.
I mounted mine with 5/16" lag screws, but if you're using threaded inserts to screw bolts into, you'll need 1/4" bolt inserts unless you want to modify the caster openings.
Yes, I got four of these 3" swivel caster wheels, and they're fantastic.
I have three sets of these casters, but I'm not sure if the axles are ball bearing-equipped. In my garage, I know they're very useful. They're on two large work tables and a 14-foot long table. band saw with an inch blade I've been using them for more than a year and have had no issues.

All of my larger woodworking machines are on casters, allowing me to move them around and store them out of the way as needed. These sturdy casters glide easily, are simple to lock, and keep the machine(s) in place while in use or storage when locked. This is an excellent product.
Came with all bolts/nuts, as well as a wrench. They were attached to a medium-sized skateboarding quarter pipe, which is a heavy structure weighing in at over 300 pounds. It can easily be moved around by an eleven-year-old child on wheels. Breaking is a little difficult, but that's to be expected with wheels this large. br>One word of caution: the bolts that came with the kit were too short for 3/4" plywood.
These are the steps to take when using a mobile workstation in a workshop. Regular locking casters aren't strong enough to hold things in place, but these are rock solid when all four are locked. Metric bolts were included as part of the hardware. You'll need to provide nuts for mounting on wood - For holding a mitersaw station, I used 1/4" lags.
Used 2x. In my shop, I've used these two times to build workbenches. I made two 11'x4' all-wood rolling benches that are super smooth, lock tight, and don't wobble in the least. The provided bolts weren't applicable to me because I attached mine to wood, but they are very heavy duty and would do the job just fine.
One plant doll was purchased, and another was created. On each dolly, two brake casters from the set of four were installed, as well as two casters without brakes. Works perfectly to keep plants from being blown around on our concrete apron by the wind, while still allowing us to move them wherever we want.
They fit perfectly, are heavy-duty, and have nice soft plastic floor wheels. Locks that are simple to operate And, best of all, once the wheels are locked, the wheel pivot is locked in place, increasing stability. This feature was not available in the ones from the big box stores! And, best of all, it'll only set you back half as much!! I'd buy these for my next project without a doubt!.
These small diameter wheels worked fine for me on a plywood/lumber cart because my shop floor is smooth.
The only thing I'd change are the bolts that came with it. The bolts are barely long enough to mount these on 3/4-inch material. In the United States, I expect these to be mounted on similar material on a regular basis, so 1/4 longer bolts would be appreciated.
