Each section of our 12 foot double gate, which is solid wood with a metal frame, is supported by this sturdy, spring-loaded set of 5" plastic castors. The concrete surface of our parking pad is very rough, and it slopes in two directions to direct runoff away from the adjacent garage. br>br>Because each half weighs about 200 pounds, these are necessary to keep them from sagging over time. br>br> The spring-loaded mounting did an excellent job of compensating for a 1. 5% rise in slope. Over 6 feet, add 5 inches. br>br>It's critical to mount these on a sturdy foundation, so I layered an 8" section of 2x8 pine over the 1" cedar boards and secured it to the metal gate frame with a pair of 12" x 8" lag bolts. So far, when the gate is opened or closed, each side glides smoothly, and the latch always latches smoothly.

We needed to get rid of an 8-year-old computer. a 6-foot-long section of our 6-foot-long section of our 6-foot- I decided to make a large gate out of a six-foot-high wooden fence. It's difficult to keep a gate that size from sagging under the weight of so much wood, and it's also quite heavy. Because it is spring-loaded, the wheel makes it simple to open and close the gate. When the gate is closed, the wheel acts as a support for the end of the gate, allowing it to glide easily over any uneven ground. It works well, and the results are satisfactory.

I had another review rejected by Amazon, despite the fact that I followed all posting guidelines, but I'll try again. The wheels were thinner than another brand I purchased, and the brackets didn't appear to be as sturdy. I'm not sure how they rate the loading because I couldn't see the springs, but they didn't appear to be as consistent as the ninth. I had to come back.

I'm glad I found these gate casters because my gates were starting to sag due to the amount of pressure they were under. I no longer have to worry about that little sagging problem since I installed these lovely sturdy casters. br>I know they said it was for wood and iron gates, but as you can see, my gates are made of PVC and fit perfectly. To accommodate my PVC gates, I simply needed to purchase new 6" bolts, nuts, and larger washers. br>Easy to set up and a fantastic price!.
