If you're going to use the handle on the outside of the door, it'll go above or below your current handle.
Yes. My sliding glass door is quite heavy, but it does the job. It is also very simple to set up.
The mounting holes are 6 5/8" in diameter and 6 5/8" in center to center.
Installing a screw and nut is a breeze.

This was used to replace a broken previous handle. I decided to purchase this after my mother was injured while operating a glass door without a handle. It's well-made and does exactly what it says on the tin. The screws were slightly too long for my application, but not beyond the capabilities of my dremel. Now it appears and functions perfectly.
These were exactly what I needed (when purchasing a replacement, make sure to check the distance between the screws). The wood appears to be of sufficient quality, and they were simple to replace. One of them, however, was missing a metal piece. I used the hardware/screws from the door handle I was replacing, and it worked fine, but if these were brand new, it would be a different story. I'd request that Ahmad return one. Also- The screws that came with the kit were too long for my doors, but I was able to use the old ones instead. However, the doors I have are quite old, so perhaps newer doors are thicker and would work with the screws. I'm not sure what I'm saying.
This handle was a little longer than my previous one, which was fantastic! It was also a LOT more sturdy and really more attractive when installed, especially for a man whose hands are larger than most females! I bought one just in case it wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but I returned it. I placed an order for a second one for my other door. And it was incredibly simple to set up!.
I looked everywhere and these were the cheapest I could find, and they far surpassed my expectations. They were simple to put together and are both sturdy and strong.
The metal poles that connect the door to the frame are thicker than those that come standard with those door types, which is a good thing. I used the metal bars to repair a broken one, and the door now feels much more solid.
Because our handle was made of flimsy aluminum, we had to replace it at least once or twice a year, but this one is made of steel and was less expensive!.
Because the screws were too long, I couldn't use them, but the old ones worked fine. It's extremely durable and easy to set up. If I needed something else, I'd buy it again.
This one appears to be in much better condition, as it is still intact and has nicely rounded edges. As a result, I strongly suggest this while strongly opposing the low-cost alternative.
