Questions & Answers

Do I have the option of using this in place of What do I do if I attach castors to the bottom of this Why not mount it above the door on a board?

It was used as the door for a barn door-style bedroom. We have had a good experience with it. It needs to be mounted at the top of the door, and there needs to be some kind of guide at the bottom to prevent it It is mounted with caster wheels on either side of the bottom of the door, which means that it rolls smoothly and doesn't scratch. Pocket doors usually just have plastic guides to allow them to glide smoothly. There is no doubt that this may not be as attractive as some barn door hardware, but it's not bad either and it's definitely worth the price reduction.

A 72" track is long enough for a 32" pocket door, right?

If you want to fit a 32" door on the track, you will just need to cut it down to 64 inches.

Is this suitable for using in a long opening by fold doors to provide an accordion door system?

It would be the 100RD series if you want to use the 100 track for multifold (up to six panels folding to one side). Here is the 100PD, and it has hardware for a pocket door, not a folding door. You can find Johnson Hardware at johnsonhardware.com. The 100RD series can be found under the multi fold hardware section of www.com.

There is an adjustment in the roller so the distance from the top of the track (where you attach it to the header) to the top of the door (where you install the roller) is between 1 3/4" and

The product is of high quality The unit is able to handle solid core doors without a problem

A Johnson Hardware 100PD Pocket Door Hardware Kit was installed in my house recently and I value the quality of it very highly. I have two remaining pocket doors in my old, 54-year-old house. A door track was replaced before we moved in over 20 years ago, so one of the doors was not working. From then on, the other door has been a nightmare, often flying off the track, bouncing, catching, and not moving when we were desperate for it to do so. In the end, I decided to replace the entire track and hardware after replacing the wheels several times. It was troubling to me that we have plaster walls, and I did not want to open up the wall to remove the old track and replace it. I also wanted a solution that would be able to hold the weight of the solid core pocket doors we had. My new wheels are not rated for the weight of my doors, so I will need to purchase heavier ones. It is my job to take care of my children This is something you can do yourself and did not wish to outsource. I was able to remove the old track using the right set of crowbars and other tools. In addition to making the tool, I also built a tool that let me screw the new track all the way to As a result, I had to cut the track to the proper size for my door, and I had to install it. It was very easy to install the door hardware, and the wheel hanger made it more convenient to hang the door than the single track of the old style. I'm very happy to report that my door now works Silky smooth and very quiet, it rolls like a dream. There is nothing I would rather do than be happy. My other pocket door is still working just fine, however, I love the ease at which the Johnson Hardware moves, as well as its quietness, so I am wondering whether I should replace the track and hardware on that door with a new The pocket doors had been removed completely before the hardware was replaced, and a standard door would have been installed instead. Fortunately for me, I did not, because I now love my pocket door and wouldn't change it if I were to add Johnson Hardware soft-close. You can close the.

As a cheaper alternative to a barn door, this door is mounted on the wall
5/5

I had no problems using it! Installing a typical door would have been a huge hassle in our old home due to uneven doorways and our old house. Originally, I wanted to go the barn door route, but the price was not to my taste. It turned out to be cheaper to use the pocket door kit than to build a worked perfectly well for my daughter, and she has the privacy she needs now for her new bedroom. I have uploaded four photos of how we installed our equipment. Here are the first steps in the process In order to hold the weight of the door, I screwed a board into the studs. The second step consists of the following In step 3 a pocket door track was screwed into the bottom of the board. Installed the track in front of the door. The process for step four is In order to disguise the track system, a second board was attached to the first one. To help keep the door from swinging out, I used a barn door stay roller (Generation 4 44140 Barn Door Stay Roller 2"). In addition, I placed door stops at each end of the door to prevent it from hitting the baseboards, and I installed pocket door hardware. In total, about $75 was spent on the door, which accounted for almost half of the total.
