Questions & Answers

I'm looking for a set of brackets for the inside rail, but I can't seem to find them anywhere. ?

Everything is included in the package. All we needed to do was purchase the doors.

Do you have a version that can be hung from the ceiling?

We're afraid that we don't have a ceiling-mounted version available.

Is the door a certain height?

The hardware kit is the only part of this product. DOOR isn't part of the package.

How wide will the opening be when both doors are pushed to one side if I have the 6" track and two 36" doors? I need a minimum of 30" for the washer and dryer. ?

It's fine, but you'll need to secure the hanger to the door's edge as closely as possible, or you'll need six. The bypass kit is 6 feet long.

Great-looking product, but keep in mind the reduced width
4/5

For a nearly 96" closet opening, I purchased this Double Bypass Door system along with two 48" barn doors. We didn't realize until after it was installed that the final system's total width would be around 8 feet. The total width of the doors is 10" less. You lose about 8-inches because of the way the door brackets attach and must interlock on the track to allow the doors to slide independently. When both doors are closed completely, the width is 10". Your closet opening should not be more than 86 inches wide at its widest point. When both doors are closed, the opening will be completely covered. Fortunately, we were able to close the gap by constructing short walls on both sides and narrowing the closet opening. Aside from that (and this is a big one! ), This is a serious (and expensive) problem. It's a heavy-duty system that easily supports both barn doors without sagging or binding while also looking great!.

You'll need to put in some effort with this product
5/5

Because I was working with a limited amount of space, I went shopping for the right hardware. It was critical that the dimensions were accurate. I chose the single track because it has a much cleaner/slimmer appearance. The hardware is of excellent quality and appears to be very high-end. br>br>Installation advice (only for a single track)br>- If you want to maximize space when opening each door, move the hangers as close to the door edge as possible.

- I had a door that was about 1 inch thick. 5 inches. It's possible that you'll have to cut the hanger bolts to length when you install them. To cut them, I bought a cheap hand grinder, but you could also use a hacksaw (which is a little safer). If you need to cut the bolts, you'll know because the other door will hit the bolt. br>br>- For cutting the steel roller bar, I used a hand grinder. A hacksaw can be used once more.

- This piece of advice should be extremely beneficial. When I considered the weight of the doors, I was convinced that the lag bolts provided would not be enough to keep them in place. safely. I'd be concerned about the lag bolts coming loose and, at the very least, causing poor movement, and, at the very worst, the doors falling off the rail and causing significant damage. br>br>In the front and behind the wall, I decided to put a header board. So I used ten-inch bolts that ran through the wall to really hold the doors and rail system in place, and it felt solid. I used the following tools: br>br> 5/16 all threaded bar, cut at 10 inch lengths for all five holding positionsbr>Hand grinder with cutting wheelbr>5/16 all threaded bar, cut at 10 inch lengths for all five holding positions br>Spring washers, as well as a large 1. 5 inch washers for the 10 inch boltsbr>Rip saw for cutting header boardsbr>Core 2 inch screws for installing header boards to drywall Tip: If you don't have enough studs to work with, predrill the holes and use anchor drywall supports to make sure you hit the studs. br>br>I hope this has been of assistance. It took me two days to get everything set up properly.

Excellent track hardware and even better customer service! I needed to close off a room with two temporary openings and was looking for ideas
5/5

I contacted customer service, and they walked me through the various options available to me. numerous follow-ups I was grateful for their brainstorming and follow-through. thru. br>br>I needed to enclose two openings, one 60 inches wide and the other 80 inches wide. I started with the 6 ft one, which I installed with Smart Standard doors' 2x36 inch doors. I installed a header, and the track installation was moderately difficult; however, after finishing the first one, I decided to get the 8-foot one for two reasons: 1. On the basis of their customer service, I wanted to give them my business. 2. In comparison to the 8-foot track, which is made up of two pieces, the 8-foot track is made up of just one piece. 2 x 4 ft sections purchased from other vendors This larger/longer package took nearly three hours to complete. Even with Prime, it will take 5 weeks to arrive. br>br>Another thing to consider is the door overlap; you will lose about 6-inches. In the door overlap, there is an 8-inch overlap. This had been made clear to me by the customer service representative so that I could properly size it. When both doors are fully extended, the 85 is essentially the 8-foot one. Based on two 48-inch Smart Standard doors, the thickness is 5 inches. br>br>I did have an issue with doors sliding on their own when closed, which I fixed by placing small Velcro stickers on the track when the door was closed (not my hack, found it on YouTube). br>br>I am very pleased with the purchase and would highly recommend Easelife.

Barn door hardware that is fantastic
5/5

This worked out perfectly, and we're very happy with the results. I'm not a professional handyman, but I make do. This set was simple to put together, but I would recommend double-checking all measurements before proceeding. I had to cut a quarter inch off the door height because I mounted the bar a little too low. We had a 6 o'clock opening. 5' and I had to make my backside door a little bigger to compensate for the space loss from the overlap (added a 2x4 to each end), which helped in two ways. It helped to fill the gap in the first place, and it also improved the visibility of my door pattern.

It's time to change the title
3/5

According to the product description, this track can support doors up to 30" wide. 5' of coverage That isn't entirely correct. I bought two 30" wide doors. The doors cover is 53 1/4 inches wide when fully closed, leaving me with 6 3/4 inches of opening. As a result, my contractor will have to redo the right-hand door by adding another piece of wood to match the rest of the door. create new crossbars top & To make the doors close up the 60-inch space I needed to cover, I added bottom boards. I'm going to have to spend more money on the door. his toil! I'm dissatisfied with the lack of detail in the product information.

This is a deceptive description
3/5

The description was deceiving. It's almost like a bypass, in my opinion. Neither door is able to completely "bypass" the other. If I had known how limited the bypass function is, I'm not sure I would have bought it. Because returning something like this is a pain, I'm keeping it and using it as is. However, I despise being duped. HATE IT!.
