It looks great on all the doors, and they look really nice. The 10 times my husband stalled he did so in about 20 minutes without any problems. That's why I like them so much. There are no complaints about them being noisy, as some reviews claimed. It's just not clear to me at all. We were very happy with them. They fit well, look great, and were easy to install.
I am a contractor building my own house, and I will not purchase this product in the future. Despite their cheap construction, they are of poor quality. So far I have replaced a couple of door handles, but I will need to replace several others.
After reading your post, I have concluded that I will have to change them all over the years. If the handle is twisted to enter a locked room, the interior of the knob will strip off with very As my son found out, these knobs can pose a safety threat if they are stuck, as they can trap someone inside the room. There was no emergency, which is good. There is no need for these knobs to be sold. Make the right choice and spend the money on a better product. I made the wrong choice on I'm really disappointed because I like the look of the knobs but now I have to replace all the exterior knobs and the knobs on my bedroom doors. As for the knobs, I can't find any that match my closets, so I will have to change those as well. I hate it!.
For those who wish to replace older doorknobs to upgrade the look of the home, these are good choices. Some people may be disappointed if they demand fine quality. However, the handles have some play, so they feel loose, yet the mechanism is a smooth one that seems like it will last for a very long time. I bought this as an upgrade from the cheap hardware that came with the house-it's all relative. If you want the best quality, I suggest you shop at a local hardware store (and support them). No issues with the door hardware, it was delivered in excellent condition. I noticed was that the instructions directed you to turn the handle 180 degrees to switch from left to right. The shaft on which the handle mounts, however, is tapered, so it cannot be reversed on the same piece of hardware but must be replaced with a new shaft. A handle is mounted on the opposite side. The rest of the installation process is straightforward. It took me two hours to install ten handles in my pantry and linen closet. I removed the handles from the interior when mounting the handles in my pantry and linen closet.
The cost of returning their mistake is their responsibility. My first set of 15 locks arrived with all keys the same and the quality is not very good. The second set arrived with all keys keyed slightly differently. In order to lock them, you need to hold the handles a certain way. There are times when it is difficult to unlock them. It was mismatched in the second set. There were also some that opened without a key. Due to a mistake by the seller, I had to pay for the shipping myself. The money I spent buying from them has been refunded to me. It is impossible for me to recommend this seller or to buy from him again. It would be easier to return the current set I have already installed if it wasn't so much work.
Over the past decade, I have installed hundreds of lever style door handles, and use most of the name brands like Kwikset/Schlage as well as generic ones at Walmart and Home Depot. Most of the time, the generic keys are the same as the Kwikset (usually about a $5 discount on the Kwikset and Schlage Having found this set on Amazon, I thought that would be a great option since it would be about a $10 discount from the generic alternatives and a $15 discount from the KW/Schlage sets. This handle is solid and has a nice even finish. It looks great and has a nice look. In addition, the packaging doesn't appear cheap, and it feels solid in the hand. A hexagonal shape appears in the center of the handle that I don't find particularly appealing, but it isn't visible in great detail. There are visible screws on the one side and the accompanying insert is more of a brass color, so you may not notice a good match between the satin nickel finish of the exterior and the brass insert. Depending on how picky you are, you may or may not find this bothersome. Whether these handles are installed by hand or with a drill, they are as simple as they come. You should be able to finish this in less than five I found the fit to be good and the tolerances to be Having said that, the biggest issue you face is once the software is installed. Turning the handles is easy enough, but there is simply not enough spring tension to return the handles to their default positions. As long as you let go of the lever after pulling it down or up, the lever will remain in that position as long as you hold it. Unfortunately, it's not much of a By default it will remain in the position you last had it in unless you manually move it back to its default position. The door may not latch properly if the handle remains partially turned and the latching mechanism remains held down by the handle. With a price point of approximately $9 per handle, you may be satisfied with this design, but in operation, you will notice it immediately and find it to not be very satisfying. As a result of this, I cannot recommend them to anyone. A door handle is first and foremost a piece of hardware. There were five of these handles installed, and all of them had the same problem, so I know there was not one defective handle among all of them. Installing these in a rental home or flipping a house, where you won't use them but just want them to look nice, these should be fine, but if you're going to use them yourself, buy the generic brands from Lowes/Home Depot.
I disagree, however. I noticed scratches when I opened the first box (there are two boxes of three each) inside the first box when I opened the first box. As you know, I Although the screws are brushed nickel, there are a lot of squiggly scratches and tool marks on them. Just so ya know - Putting them where it won't matter but I'm keeping them since this situation won't matter to the places I'm putting them. There ain't nothing pristine about them, The rest of the products seem to be reasonably It's all I have to say.
The bedroom, bathroom, and hallway closet doors needed to have new handles installed. Since all our bedroom doors, the guest bath door, and the hall closet door face the hallway, the brush nickel handles give the bedrooms and the guest bath a It was the wrong handle for the hallway closet, but I was able to find one that was very close to what I needed and I Putting the system in place was simple, it was not rocket science. Also, this type of handle made opening doors much simpler than the knob variety, which was an added bonus. I would not recommend this type if you were looking for locks based on security considerations, as the door locks easily from the outside, and it's very simple to open from the outside. Overall, I'm pleased with how well these handles performed they look nice, are easy to install, and are an excellent.
