When I read reviews of similar branded knockoffs, I discovered there to be quality control issues and cheaply made internal parts. I am glad I went with a name brand. Buying a new handle meant I had to pay particular attention to the internal materials since I was replacing one with poor quality Metal or plastic internal components that are worn out or In addition to being made of high-quality materials on all sides, this handle has a unique shape. Compared to cast pots, there is very little plastic inside, and everything is made of zinc-coated steel instead of cast iron. Materials are metals. A wide range of variables can be controlled in the latch, including the bolts, and installation is very straightforward. You probably didn't read the manual on how to adjust each element if you don't see the handle drooping or parts not aligning when you open the product. I retrofitted existing holes for the latch and deadbolt with ease, and the handle feels secure and attractive. I was very satisfied with my installation. ****UPDATE***
I contacted Kwikset support and provided them the two images below. A replacement handle was quickly shipped out as soon as the damage was discovered. In view of having already disassembled my old handle and replaced it with the new one, I figured it would be easier to have them replace the handle rosette than to send back the entire item through amazon. This is *br_*br_- When it came out of the box, the interior lever had a damaged corner. As far as the finish is concerned, they are supposed to be covered by a warranty, so I contacted Kwikset, and I am waiting to hear how things will turn out. Overall, a nice looking handle set to replace the dated brass fixtures that came with our home. As for installation, I had to purchase another set for my double doors, as I could only find that set on another site. I also purchased the Halifax levers for our interior doors, which work great with this set.

Due to the very difficult lineup on each side. The pin bar is unsteady and cannot remain still, it took me two hours. While I was able to align the screws, the pin bar did not align with the screw hold on the other side. If I fixed the pin bar alignment, the screw hold would not be there. This was an amazing looking piece, but it took me a long time to install. My ignorance of the fact that the door system needs to be chiseled in order to accommodate the lock system surprised me greatly. It wasn't so much about the length as it was the space needed for the latches. I wasn't able to install it without taking a chunk out of the side of the door because there wasn't much left of the original wood. As for the other parts of the door system, I was able to align them so they By providing the template, you can drill it once and it will be perfect. No prob as long as it was just a tiny bit off on the lower portion! It has space for adjusting the shape of its bolt hole at the bottom, so the handle can be slightly off-center. In this case, I bought the item so it would match the changes I was making to the front of the house, mostly aesthetic in nature. A clear and simple instruction manual guides you through the process. My only gripe is that it requires drilling a hole through the inside of the door. An additional piece of hardware was therefore required on the inside (see photo). Accessed from the outside, the old handle consisted of a single bolt.
