One quarter of an inch is the thickness of my screen door. Four different door latches have been replaced by me from big box hardware stores over the last couple of years. There are a number of other brands that either failed to fit (although they advertised that they were compatible with 1 1/4" doors) or broke after a short period of time (some I am impressed with the overall construction of this handle. The screws are in different lengths so they can work with doors that are even thicker than mine. The majority of the construction is constructed from medal and the installation comes with a guide sheet. There is just one negative comment which I have and that is that the outside handle is made out of thick plastic and felt well made when I touched it, and I will have to see what life I am going to For a better quality storm door, I find this to be a great handle.

You do get what you pay for with this replacement, it is CHEAP. In order to use the handle without harming your hand when you open the door, I am searching for something to fill it. It's not good that things are being made so cheaply.

In less than 30 minutes, I assemble and install this lever-latch assembly, and it took so long because I fiddled with the spindles and screws to get the maximum length. My initial effort was to align the new latch with the old latch thickness and that took me all of ten ease of installation provided by the choice of different spindle and screw lengths makes this a no-brainer. Unless you have a particularly odd door, no cutting is required. A couple of shims fixed the problem of the new latch not extending as far as the old one, but I had to adjust the striker plate a bit because it's not as long as the old one. With the instructions and drawings very readable, you'll learn everything you need to know. This lever turned out great (I went with the bright brass finish). For the price, this is an excellent piece of equipment. The only criticism I have is that the lever is cast and not solid, so it does not feel as rugged as the previous one, but you'd only know that if you grabbed the lever and felt the underside.

I liked the fact that pieces of a variety of sizes are included so that different door thicknesses can be accommodated. There were not enough shims for the lock to close properly, so I ordered more. Everything went smoothly I'm very happy with my overall experience!.

I replaced the one on my back door with this one Despite their differences in design, they appeared to be identical. It was only due to the 1 that there was a problem during installation. There was a difference of 1. 5 inches between the center to center distances of the bolt pattern on the 750. I would say about 1, but perhaps 750. It is 2 millimeters shorter than what it was. For that reason, I had to extend the existing holes in my door to allow the installation to take place.
Fortunately, I had a small rat tail file on hand which made the job not too difficult. This product is just like the one it replaced. It works and looks the same.

I need a new storm door handle for my Sears. The article I found was a replacement that I was struggling to find. This product looked like it would fit perfectly, and it did! Unlike many others that had dead bolts or were in the wrong color or had other shortcomings, this one worked like a charm! A few good things There were clear instructions and a lot of screws included with the unit. The inclusion of these helped ensure that the door could be fitted to a variety of door It included an inside latch as well as an outside latch (which is pictured), as well as the screw that goes into the frame of the door, which is not shown. The This handle is hollow, and likely of lower quality than what I replaced. I agree with others that it is hollow and of lower quality. In light of its low cost, I am okay with it.

Summary
I am really pleased with this purchase and I would recommend it to others. I knew it would work in my door because it came in multiple colors and was available in multiple sizes. Yes, it would have been better if the handle were not hollow, but considering the price, I cannot complain too much. It is worth five stars in my opinion.

For me, setting up this unit was like a dream come true. This door hinge kit comes with several lengths of screws to fit any door thickness. My first impression of this unit was that it is far superior to the original once I held the original in my hand. There is a slight "heft" to the assembly, which makes me believe it will last a lot longer than the original. The process took me about 15 minutes from beginning to end, and I think it looks a lot better than before.
