This is not a lever lock, it's cylindrical.
The item ships directly from Emtek to us. A handle by itself measuring 8 1/2" long and 1" wide measures 11 3/4" with the thumb press attached to the top plate to the bottom plate. This door handle is my favorite and it makes me sad to see it not working with my 1954 door. It would have been a great statement as soon as you saw it if I had been renovating an old fixer. A friend commented, "Wow, this looks like a neighborhood with important people living there. ". A bit harder is aligning the inner workings of the latch (I took 45 minutes to do it and I'm a handy guy) but once you get it done, everything else goes smoothly. This is a great purchase! In addition, if you choose to buy it directly from the builder, you can tailor the handle however you like.
The item was delivered in an open box. A broken tape was used on the insides and the package was not well packaged. We had to make sure all the components were there before we could use it. Two days ago, the price of the item was $260 and now the price shows $239. The item had not been advertised as an open box. Why should I return this item? At this point, I am not sure. Having listened to previous reviews, I can confirm that it is indeed a beautiful The surface does not appear yellow or gold or shiny, and there are no scratches to be seen. I have a concern regarding an open box item that I have paid full price for.
I love the look of this entryway door handle. It feels incredibly solid with the gold conforming to its description and is true to its description. Moreover, I was able to get in touch with the seller and get a dummy handle, which proved very useful since I have double doors as well. Even though I did not install it myself, the task shouldn't be too difficult if you know what you're doing and have some basic tools. There is no doubt that this handle set is worth buying!.
I have attached two photos showing my front door AFTER it was remodeled and BEFORE it was A new Emtek handle was added and a new door kick plate was installed. The same door was painted and Emtek handles were added. Beautiful and durable, Emtek's handle is a great addition to any door or cabinet. The price is higher than those of some handles, but it is definitely worth it!.
