eufy Security Smart Lock Touch, Remotely Control with Wi-Fi Bridge, Fingerprint Keyless Entry Door Lock, Bluetooth Electronic Deadbolt, Touchscreen Keypad, BHMA Certified, IP65 Weatherproof

This is a product that I didn't realize I needed until it came along and made my life so much easier. Now that I live in Florida, I have a lot of family and friends who enjoy going on vacations. I still have to go to work, so having this smart door lock is extremely convenient. They are welcome to come at any time and enter the code to gain access. The auto-lock feature and instant notifications are two of my favorite features. I have the wifi bridge, but I haven't tried out the SD card slot. Hopefully, the doorbell and cameras will be able to take advantage of the SD card's extra memory. br>br>It was very simple to set up. Scanning the QR code proved to be the most difficult part. There are roughly three locks visible on the Eufy app. They all look the same, and if you choose the wrong one, it will start with a serial and require you to enter the rest; if you are unable to do so, you will not be able to proceed to the next step. I was on hold with chat for about 15 minutes before deciding to try another lock, which worked. My family consists of five individuals. br>br> I added two sets of fingerprints to the fingerprint reader for each of us, and it works perfectly. I had to add the fingerprints under my account because I would have to create a pin/code for each person if I created an invite account to add their fingerprints. It refused to let me use the code I wrote for the house. Instead of the current method, I'm hoping for an update that will allow me to add family members to a household using their names and fingerprints. It would improve notifications by allowing you to see who entered and exited the house. In the event of a lockout, the smart lock also came with five keys. I was relieved that I didn't have to make copies for my family. br>br>The Eufy wifi smart lock comes highly recommended. It's absolutely incredible.

We went with the Bluetooth version for the garage door because it has more restrictions than the front door, and we went with the smart lock with WiFi Bridge for the front door. The lock on the front door is a pain in the neck! It worked fine at first, but now it won't connect to the bridge, or the bridge won't connect to the WiFi, depending on the time of day. Furthermore, the lock is constantly "stuck"; it says it can't open; it wasn't getting stuck before, but now even manually unlocking it from the interior requires us to turn the knob back to the unlock position, as if the locking mechanism/motor that throws the deadbolt is becoming stuck. To add insult to injury, it will frequently claim that it is stuck when it isn't, or that it couldn't lock/unlock, but if you enter the code 986578 times, it will randomly open. The garage door lock that is only Bluetooth, on the other hand, has none of these issues!! At this point, we'll almost certainly request a replacement, if only to rule out the possibility of a faulty lock or bridge. We chose the WiFi lock on the front door specifically so that our parents can have their own codes and easy access in and out of our home when they come to visit us, and we can see who opened the door based on the entered code on our phone. We can also make sure the door is locked from anywhere we are, whereas the Bluetooth lock does not allow for remote access. I can't say I wouldn't recommend it entirely at this point; I'll keep you updated as we try to figure out the problem and Eufy's suggested solution.

Pros- Initially, it is simple to set up and work well. br>Cons- It's not possible to share it with others, the wifi gets disconnected frequently within the same house, and you can't use the app while you're away from home.

The serial number or qr code will not be recognized by the app, and it will be rendered useless without it. I guess I'll just use the physical key and hope that the next update includes support for it, or I'll have to return it. *Edit: br>br> Eufy customer service contacted me and walked me through the setup process. As someone else mentioned, the setup was a little confusing because there was an option for a lock with built-in wifi, which this does not appear to be. Even though I paid for a coupon and waited for it to be released at the beginning of this year, I was disappointed to learn that there is a version with built-in wifi, but it wasn't this one. I would have bought it instead if I had known there was a version with built-in wifi, which I was led to believe this was. br>br>Having said that, the lock works as it should, and I've had no issues with it in that regard.

Avoid using the Eufy smart lock. It's just that the quality isn't there; The lock will say it's jammed after multiple tries, even if there's nothing there for it to jam against. br>br>The Eufylife support team was also useless; They'll ask you to provide the same information over and over again, and if you ask for clarification, they'll just ignore you.
