I installed a total of 50 hinges. I got a template for a reasonable price. It was much easier to keep the location consistent. I'm a 56-year-old grandmother who stands 5'4" tall; if I can do it in a morning, so can you! It's wonderful not to have to worry about hinges and cabinet doors slamming shut! My husband slamming cabinet doors is something I don't miss! It was something he did on a regular basis. Ya! Silence! I'm very pleased with both the quality and the price, and I wish I had done it years ago. I'm now going to replace the hinges in the bathroom. I'm really enjoying myself right now. You will not be disappointed if you purchase these.
We really wanted to like this product, but several pieces were missing and several hinges were broken out of the 60 we received. Before returning an item, the manufacturer must be contacted, according to the instructions. The manufacturer wants a video of each hinge in action as well as a photo of each hinge that isn't working. They were no longer supportive after I explained that shooting 12 videos would be inconvenient; do not purchase. The product is not backed by the manufacturer.
These were simple, direct replacements for mass-produced cabinets. I despised the way my cabinets slammed shut whenever I didn't manually close them. I used two hinges on each door for the taller cabinets and larger doors. I only installed one hinge on each door for the shorter and smaller doors. They were simple to install and a good value for the money; the doors now close smoothly, with a slow close as they approach full closure and no loud banging. br>The only thing left is to see how well they hold up over time, but they appear to be well constructed.
I couldn't figure out what was wrong, so I sent an e-mail to the seller. photos of the cabinets in an email Ravinte, the seller, recognized the problem and sent me a sample of the proper 1/2" hinges for free, which fit perfectly. I can't speak highly enough of their customer service - response to e-mail in a timely fashion mails. br>br>I'd like to point out that the hinges are well-made and simple to set up. The soft-closing feature is excellent.
with a few modifications Everything went smoothly. On lighter cabinet doors, only one of the two hinges needed to be replaced. In order for larger doors to close quietly, both hinges had to be replaced. When another cabinet or appliance was close by, the hinges opened to 105 degrees, which was inconvenient. I wish they had included a "limiter" that would allow the hinges to be adjusted to 90 degrees or less. I made a "limiter" out of plastic to fit in the hinges and superglued it in place. It worked, and I was able to get the doors to stop at an angle of about 88 degrees (where it was required).
These were installed by my carpenter on my freshly painted cabinets. I've always wanted soft close hinges, and a kitchen renovation gave me the chance to replace the ones that slam the cabinet doors shut. Everyone thinks my cabinets have been replaced. They're fantastic. They are quick and simple to put on.
The kreg jig makes installation a breeze. You can fine-tune the fit of your doors with a three-way adjustment. The only reason I deducted a star is because no one could tell me what size drill bit to use for the plastic screw insert, which you'll need if you're using MDF.
I was able to swap them out quickly and finish 15 doors in about an hour. I've used a variety of soft close hinges in the past, but these were by far the most cost-effective. The ease with which they could be adjusted, as well as the simple directional markings, were both appreciated. The only reason I gave these hinges four out of five stars is because the doors bounce back a lot before the soft close actuates. Other brands of hinges (most notably Blum) have provided a smoother close, but these are significantly less expensive. Overall, this is a fantastic hinge for the money, and the $50 upgrade is well worth it.
