I don't use metric, but I bore at a 7/8" center point from the edge of the door, which gives the cabinet side almost a full 3/4" overlay. When using these hinges, it's a good idea to make some dummy fits out of scraps to play with.

Although the description calls for face frame cabinets, the drawings show a frameless setup. A face frame is required for these hinges. Although the drawings are incorrect, the photograph and description are accurate.
These are simple to install for such a complicated hinge, but they're ideal for inset face frame cabinets, and the soft close feature is fantastic!.
Blum hinges have long been a favorite of mine. I can't sing their praises loudly enough. Because of the numerous adjustments required when hanging cabinet doors, I rarely use butt hinges or any other type of hinge anymore. The "Euro hinge" and especially a Blum hinge are far superior for the simple reason that they can be adjusted up, down, in, and out by turning the appropriate screw. You can't go wrong with the self-confidence. There is no need for a catch with this close feature. When it comes to the soft close, the time it takes for the door to return to its closed position can feel long, and in a busy kitchen, there are times when you'd prefer the door to be out of the way quickly. I believe the close speed can be changed or removed entirely, which would be ideal.
Because these hinges came with no instructions, it took a lot of trial and error to get the spacing right on the Kreg Jig so that they would fit flush. But, in the end, these are excellent hinges with numerous adjustment points and useful features. Now that I've figured out the Kreg settings, I'll definitely be using them on future projects.
These clip-on inset hinges are fantastic. They're simple to set up and adjust in and out, as well as up and down.
Almost every inset door project I do uses these. The finish plates did not come with these, but everything else did (which is why I gave them four stars). If you have a jig for drilling out the hinge hole in the door, these hinges are a breeze to install. The Rockler Jig is a tool that can be used to make a variety of It performs admirably for me. These hinges allow you to fine-tune the fit of inset doors thanks to their adjustable features. Despite the fact that mine did not come with the finish plates, I would still purchase these.
These hinges are excellent, but you must be skilled in their installation. With the hinges, there were two sheets of paper. These were pages from a parts manual that had been photocopied. It's almost impossible to read it. Even if they were the original pages, they wouldn't have made much of a difference in terms of installation. I found them on the internet, but I couldn't figure out what all the numbers on the page meant.
I'm well-versed in their use. I can set them up for you. They're great for thinner materials, but not for anything thicker than a quarter-inch. They don't do what you want them to do. br>br>Meh, I'm not sure if they're worth it.
