Kitchen cabinet door hinges are original, and the house was built in 1985, so it is 35 years old. Original hinges no longer "close" and hold tightly shut the doors to the cabinets we use the most, but they still provide adequate closure on the majority of "unused" cabinets (such as those above the refrigerator, which we can't reach). I went to Lowes to look for replacements, and they only had white and silver, whereas the originals are bronze, so no luck. This on Amazon was the closest color match we could find for this type of hinge (otherwhere similar at higher prices), holes on cabinet frame line up with old hinges, holes on cabinet door from originals are in an arrowhead pattern pointed toward you, whereas holes on these new ones are in a triangular arrangement pointed toward cabinet door. No big deal, everyone has a cordless drill, three small holes per hinge, not their fault, no point deduction, perhaps physics, perhaps patent, perhaps style, who knows. br>br>However, point deduction suggests that the original hinges, which are still in good shape, have a fair amount of "snap" at the end. These new ones do have that last few inches of closure, but it doesn't appear to be as strong or quick as the "good" originals. I had hoped for a bit more vigor in the springs with these new ones. In terms of longevity, I'm hoping these hinges will outlast us, and I'll never know if they, too, will last 35 years before someone decides to remodel the entire kitchen. The springs are encased in a plastic housing, as they were in the original. It's that plastic that, in the originals, has deteriorated to the point where it's just falling apart. In 30- In 35 years, I'll try to remember to update all of my Amazon reviews and post about the durability of these replacements.

First and foremost, during my search, I was only looking for products made in the United States. I bought something that I assumed was made in the United States of America. I noticed "Made in China" on receipt, despite the fact that nothing in the description stated otherwise. DESCRIPTION THAT IS MISTAKEN. Second : The door overlapping the frame by 1/2" is depicted in the description's diagram. True, but it only laps 11/16". Third, the screw heads are too large to countersink flush with the hinge, and when screwed in, the head slots strip out. I don't buy anything from Communist China because it's usually a waste of money. Many of these issues could be avoided if Amazon was more transparent about where the products they sell are made.

  These were purchased to replace a few that had worn out. The holes are not evenly distributed. the screw holes did not match the originals 95% of them’didn’t line up correctly. When you compare two things, you'll notice that they're not the same thing. There are a few subtle differences in the way it's designed. Since I'm selling my house, they're perfect for this project. I don't give a damn about it. However, trying to fill the old holes will be a pain. new ones are drilled Other people's doors don't close all the way, according to other reviews. Spacers are required. When I reinstall the doors, I expect this to be the case. I should have just cleaned up the old brass ones instead. br>br>find something else to do - These aren't the ones you're looking for.

A black cabinet hinge is difficult to come by. These were similar to the ones we were replacing, so I ordered them. We had issues with the doors not covering the opening when they were installed properly (at least, I think they were, since no instructions were provided). To solve the problem, we tried a variety of approaches. We had to use spacers behind the part that connected to the cabinet in the end. The doors now cover the entire opening, which is a good thing. The doors, on the other hand, do not fit flush against the cabinet's surface, leaving gaps that I think are unsightly. These hinges are not something I would recommend.

I recently painted my old wooden cabinets white and wanted black hardware for them, and these were exactly like my old hinges, only newer, prettier, cleaner, and matte black. I used to own the only brassy ones, so these were an excellent modern upgrade. They're sturdy and solid, with no missing screws, and they even came with the little dots to put on the backs of the cabinets to keep them from slamming (I'm not sure what the technical term is for this). At Lowes/Home Depot, I couldn't find any hinges that were even close to this price. Thank you very much!.

I was able to use the hinges for the purpose for which they were purchased. Overall, the hinges performed admirably. My kitchen cabinet hinges were old and rusted, so I decided to replace them. These are nearly identical to the original, which is why I purchased them. br>br>However, the screws are of poor quality. A number of the screw heads were not properly formed, and the threads were not properly cut. I broke a few screws without even trying because they are extremely brittle. br>br>Finally, find different screws for the hinges.

Cabinets remain 1/2 inch open at all times, and if you close them completely, they will spring open 1/2 inch. They look nice, and they're simple to install, but they don't work. I was really disappointed after reading all the positive reviews; I didn't have any problems with cheap or deformed screws like other reviewers had; I really wish that was my problem; I could just get new screws and keep using them.

I looked in a big box store but couldn't find this type of hinge. They were almost $4 a pair of the ones they did have. These are exactly the style I'm replacing, and despite the fact that there are two sets more than I need, I couldn't pass up the price. They're a little wider than what I had before, so I had to add a piece of wood to the cabinet, but it wasn't a big deal.
