It was time to send them back because I had given up. My friend came to my apartment to see what I was upset about, but when he tried one on a different door, it popped right on. It was clear that there was a difference in the two hinges. Although both hinges were made by Blum, one had a rectangle opening (where clips go) while the other had an oval opening. On the rectangle openings, all slower closers installed easily. A hole in an oval would prevent them from going on that. You may save yourself some frustration and time by checking your hinges before making a purchase.

With these dampeners added to Blum hinges, a vast improvement in closing can be seen. You will be done in seconds with them snapping onto the back. I only needed to dampen one hinge on top of the cabinet doors that were under 30" tall. In general, I used more than 2 hinges on doors over 30" tall, and I used 3 hinges on doors with In order to save money, I tried out a few different dampeners (before paying for these - since I didn't like them) - I was rewarded for my efforts. The other generic dampeners all broke as soon as they were used more than once. Moreover, they didn't close as smooth as they should have nor did they look as nice in the cabinet as they should. Several of these dampeners are installed on IKEA's kitchen hinges (manufactured by Blum) and they have worked flawlessly. However, I am not sure if they are working on the new hinge that IKEA released. They did work on the hinge I had, The dampeners I used to buy from Ikea are no longer available, so I am spending a lot of time searching for a replacement. There was no new IKEA hinge model before early 2015 when they brought out the new model for those of you who have IKEA cabinets. In addition, I attached these only to hinges that allowed their doors to open by 125 degrees. They may or may not work with wider swings - I am not sure. It's not something I've tried yet.

Our kitchen was recently updated with Ikea cabinets, and we used Ikea's kitchen planner program to design the layout. UTRUSTA hinges are smaller and It suggested door dampers (402) on page 45, but when I went to buy them, the software claimed they were not available. don't see them at any Ikea in the US. Before, I thought we'd need to get new hinges with matching door dampers and return all our hinges. Then I found these on Amazon, so we are good to go again. Those dampers fit perfectly in my hinges or I would not have them working. I double checked to see whether they had a square opening (rather than a rounded one). As well as Ikea hinges, there are also Blum hinges. Although it is possible that Ikea was just out of stock, if they don't sell these door dampers anymore, then buying them here saved us from having to buy much more expensive and bulkier hinges AND they were priced lower here than the software predicted. It's easy to snap them into the hinges, and they can be removed as quickly as well.

This is amazing. The installation of these items is probably one of the most frustrating experiences I have had. have so far been able to install three of the 20 that I bought, and I've spent almost 45 minutes doing it. The truth is out there. The hinges do not simply snap into place as suggested, and yes, I have the right ones. You'll never have a problem with them once you put them on. Even after almost two months of trying, I'm still reluctant to write a higher review for something so difficult Although my husband is a handyman and has a lot of fixing skills, he can't do this himself He ended up getting so fed up with them for being such a do-it-yourself-and-do-it-right kind of guy. Using the handle of a hammer, we tried banging them into place but failed. There are some who go in and some who don't. I find that AWFUL to say the least.

We ordered four packs of them, and there were four boxes in one. The hinges were too thick for my door, so I had to send them all back in the original box. In the beginning I was credited for all four packs, but my credit was later reduced because I returned only one of the To explain, I tried reaching out to customer service, but due to COVID issues, I am unable to speak to anyone. My account has been reactivated now Three out of the four packs have been charged. My guess is that the one box got counted for one pack by whoever accepted the return. A few months ago we remodeled, and we had all of our cabinets built using Blum software. Hinges and drawer glides on cabinets and drawers should be closed. Almost all of them were installed by the cabinet maker except for a few. Since we have grown accustomed to all the other kinds, I bought these to put on those cabinet doors because we were tired of having them slam when we closed them. They arrived quickly, were relatively cheap, and were so easy to snap on to the Blum hinges that it took only seconds to insert. Almost all of the components of our new kitchen are still in good condition after two years of use.

The item had been placed in my Wish-list, and somehow it ended up on my order. The model/part number of the unit is installed on my neighbor's cabinets, and since his cabinets are identical to mine, I wanted to add it to my wish list. As I had not yet prepared for them, I tried returning them to Amazon after they were somehow ordered and eventually delivered. I think this is an insignificant The installer of our cabinets only put in soft-close cabinets The top hinges need to be closed The bottom can be used, but not the top Cabinets are one of our main features. I got it to work It sort of works I didn't have as much softness as I thought I would The dampening was not as much as I expected, only half of the hinges were dampened. Having overlooked this oversight for about a year, I wanted to rectify it. To avoid the pain of removing doors, replacing hinges, and having to deal with all of the leveling I was dreading, I did the following Here's what I did snapped these in the hinges at blum that weren't soft We've closed the case and resolved the issue. We had no problems with cabinet doors, it didn't cost too much to fix, and it took about 10 seconds to fix each one. The reason I didn't do this sooner is because I was too lazy!.
