Questions & Answers

The first is the title. Cup hooks with a diameter of 1/4" However, the size is 1 x 2 inches. 8 x 5. 5 inches. What are the exact dimensions of these?

The measurements given are for the package containing the cup hooks. The length of the cup hooks is 1 1/4 inches. The screw thread is not included in this calculation. The overall length is 1 3/4 inches with the screw thread.

How big are these hooks' openings?

It's about half an inch, in my opinion. It's big enough to hang a cup of coffee on. That's exactly what I did with them.

Do these attach to the dry wall with screws? Is an anchor required, or do you require one? Do you want to hang a ten-pound weight?

I don't think it's a good idea to screw directly into drywall to support that much weight, but I'd be confident screwing into wood.

Are there any weather-related concerns? Will they rust in the open air, or are they weatherproof?

They can be used outside because they are weather resistant.

Everything has a place
5/5

Over the sink, a kitchen funnel kept falling off a nail. That was easily remedied by using a hook. br>br>The best place to hang a ladle was on the underside of a shelf. It was a successful hook. br>br>In a bathroom shelf, a plastic tablespoon hangs on a hook, handy for measuring borax or washing soda. br>br>Now, beside a doorway where I usually open packages, a folded utility knife hangs from a hook. It will not injure anyone or tear clothing if it is accidentally bumped, unlike a nail. br>br>I moved four items to hooks on my desk to reduce clutter. A headlamp that hangs beside a doorway is the most important. I'll know exactly where to look for it if there's a power outage at night. My cordless phone is surrounded by a telephone headset and a chain necklace. If I need to communicate, I'll use my hands. I can clip the phone to the necklace and connect the headset when I'm not using it. br>br>There was a tangle of seven computer-related cables. Behind my desk, I have a tangle of cords. They now hang from the back of the desk via hooks. br>br>If I mark the center of a mower blade and suspend it from a nail with cords holding the ends and a plumb line in between, I can check its balance. Because the curve keeps the plumb line right between the suspension cords, a hook is preferable to a nail in this situation. br>br>I have three extension cords on reels for use outdoors. It takes two minutes to bring a cord indoors, unreel it, and bring it back, followed by another two minutes to put it away. To make a four-minute cord, it could take four minutes to handle it. A second saw cut was made. br>br>These hooks are perfect for holding the ends of a 25-foot rope. Three steps from the outlet, a foot cord runs along a beam in the carport. The cord is held in place between the ends by five screws. intervals of about five feet I spend half a minute getting the cord and plugging it in, then another half minute putting it away. This saves me three minutes every time I need power near the back door. br>br>I only have three hooks left out of the pack of 18. I intend to purchase additional items in the future.

For hardwoods, use a 7/64 bit, and bend the hook to fit the mug handles if necessary
5/5

When drilling into hardwood, you'll need a 7/6th bit, not whatever they recommend, as other reviews have stated. You may need to bend the hook out slightly depending on the size of the handle. They are easy to bend and maintain their shape. There aren't any issues. br>br>I didn't take away a star for either of these items because they weren't designed specifically for coffee mugs, and the smaller bit they recommend is better in most woods you'll be drilling into.

By the front dot, these key hooks are ideal
5/5

These are some of the best mugs you'll ever see. Because they have a large enough hook to actually hang larger objects, holder hooks or key hooks are a good choice. The fact that these have a stop at the top of the threads, as I mentioned in my video, is no small point: This ensures that each hook protrudes from whatever you screw it into at the same height and level. If you do it this way, you'll end up with meticulous rows of hooks. These are perfect for simple key hooks near the door. br>br> In my back pantry, I've used them to hang tools, kitchen items, and a variety of brooms and mops. This is also a good deal because there are 18 in a pack. In my opinion, the rubbed bronze look is less noticeable than bright silver or gold - This is something I like. br>br>These are sturdy hooks that are simple to install and resist bending. br>br>INSTALLATION NOTEbr>br>If you are unable to pre-install, Drill the holes and tap in a small nail if you're installing on wood, particularly hard woods like oak or maple. After that, remove it. The nail's hole will serve as an ideal "pre-cut" area. For this screw, I drilled a hole. To be continued in hook

Hooks that are perfect for projects or as replacements! These hooks have come in handy on a number of occasions during my woodworking projects
5/5

I've recently started making coffee cup holders out of pallet wood. These are fantastic hooks. I used to buy them at a local hardware store, but these were half the price, so I was pleased. To avoid splitting the boards, I pre-drill the holes and then finger tighten the hooks in place. So far, I've been using regular brass hooks rather than these "rubbed bronze" hooks, but they're the same make and model. They can easily support the weight of a coffee cup, if not much more. These hooks are something I'll buy again and again. The hooks are ideal for DIY projects or as replacements.

Great item, but the dimensions aren't as stated (and should be!)
3/5

These hooks are of excellent quality, but the seller should be more specific and precise about their measurements! They're available in packs of one. 1/4" hooks, but the seller does not say which part of the hooks is 1- 1/4" in length I assumed the seller meant the distance between the top of the loop and the base on top of the screw threads, but I guess he meant the loop's diameter. Even so, it wasn't 1-dimensional. 1/4", but only by a fraction of an inch. I'll change my rating to 5 stars if I see the seller correct the description!.

Cup hooks of excellent quality
5/5

For a project I was working on, I ordered these cup hooks. When ordering, there were some concerns because there were no specific dimensions for the hook other than the overall 1-inch diameter. 1/4" is the measurement. You can only hope and pray it works because you can't physically see the part before ordering it, and there are no dimensions that better describe the actual size. It's a very low risk, given the cost of the parts. I've included a few images of the hooks next to a scale so you can see the actual size of the hook as well as the throat opening, which is an important dimension for some projects. Overall, the part appears to be of good quality, with a nice oil rubbed bronze finish that appears to be long-lasting.

There are a million uses for this item, and it is extremely inexpensive
5/5

These are fantastic because the bronze patina allows them to be used both inside and outside, for both decorative and functional purposes. I've used them as curtain tie hooks, dog leash holders, power drill hooks, and plant basket hangers so far. They aren't heavy dury hooks, and the plant basket is probably pushing its limits, but it's been up there for almost a year and hasn't moved. I've used them in dry wall with anchors (and without, depending on the application) and they've always performed admirably. I've become addicted to it.
