I'm not certain. I live in Florida, so there is a lot of salt in the air, but no rust yet. I don't have mine in the shower, so I can't say. I can confidently state that I am a fan. Harriet, thank you.
Yes, it is incredibly simple to set up. For installation, I used the tools that were recommended.
Yes, it's brushed chrome rather than nickel.
The diameter of the escutcheon is 2 inches. Rod is 2- 11/16" diameter by 1/4" long. 2nd Extender 1/2" away from the wall This is a great product: it's well-made, has a nice finish, and the mounting system allows for fine-tuning of the orientation, unlike similar items from traditional stores.

Because I didn't want to hang my shower caddy from my shower head, I needed a hook like this. It was incredibly simple to put together and is strong enough to hold all of my shower necessities. The hook's depth was just right for hanging the caddy flush against the shower tiles, and the matte black finish went perfectly with the black caddy I bought from Target. This item has no flaws; it is fantastic!.
I purchased three of these, and I believe I will require a fourth. For myself and the missus, I hung two outside the shower as towel hooks. They did an excellent job. I bought a second one to keep in the shower. I didn't want to drill a hole in a brand-new tile, so I decided to trust the glue that came with it. I followed the instructions to the letter and was pleasantly surprised when everything went smoothly. The little hook has been holding up wash clothes without a hitch for the past month; I even gave it a gentle tug to see if it was really attached, and it didn't budge. If matching your chrome kholer mixing valve is a concern, this nickel color will not match exactly.
Initially, I ordered the 3M stick-on towel hooks in stainless steel and plastic, but they appeared to be cheap and flimsy. I then went to Lowes and Home Depot to get some sturdy screw-mounted towel hooks, which cost around $21-$23 each. $24 each. I only needed six, so I decided against spending $126 plus tax on towel hooks for my three guest bathrooms' doors. So I went back to Amazon to look for some nice, sturdy towel hooks, and I came across these. I think I paid about $60 for them, and they're just as nice as the ones at Lowes that cost more than twice as much; this was a great deal, and I highly recommend them! I've shown the door with hooks and a towel hanging from one of them. The hook is sturdy, as you can see, and my large bath towel hangs from it without slipping. I'm writing this review because these are excellent hooks, and I paid full price for them.
br>br>First and foremost, let me state unequivocally that I am not a handywoman in any way. The hooks were also simple to put in place. br>br>Finding a stud in the wall is always a good idea for heavier items, but I was able to get great results without one by using the included plastic anchors and screwing the base into the wall. The Hook can hold my heavy diaper bag, which has been hanging there for about a week and a half, as you can see in the video. Those who claim that installation is difficult due to the screwing motion should keep in mind that rotating the included tool 360 degrees that close to the wall is impossible. br>The key is to insert the tool with the handle pointing as far left as possible, rotate it as far right as possible, pull the tool out, and repeat the process.
They are all - such as these - are extremely well-made and long-lasting. 304 stainless steel is what they are: br>br> There is no corrosion, rust, or spotting. Not only are the accessories made of stainless steel, but so are the screws and mounting brackets. br>br>I've paid twice as much for bathroom accessories from well-known brands that weren't even close to being as nice as these. I strongly advise you to purchase them. The designs are sophisticated, and the craftsmanship is superb. For what you get, the price is very low.
Drill two holes, screw in the bracket, place the hook over the bracket, and tighten the allen screw underneath for a simple and straightforward installation. Both robes and towels are suitable for the hook. Style Selections 3" Chrome Cabinet Hardware (Item 59609) from Lowe's goes well with the hook.
My colossal towel may or may not work. I haven't yet installed the hooks. The finish, on the other hand, appears to be quite nice. br>I'm not sure if my colossal towel will stay put, but it should. br>br>I noticed a lot of negative reviews complaining about the lack of mounting hardware. br>I believe this is because those individuals were unaware that when the hook was shipped, the mounting bracket was attached to it. br>All you have to do now is loosen the bracket from the hook with the allen wrench, and you're ready to go. br>br>It might be worth the shipper's time to make that clearer to buyers looking for the mounting bracket.
The product itself is excellent, but the directions are terrible. If you want to use the adhesive method, they don't say how to use the glue that comes with it properly. It's shown in the photo of the included items, but there's no way to get to it. In the end, I decided to use screws instead of adhesive. If you need detailed (or complete) instructions, you might want to look for something else.
