These are finished in a black powder coating. There will be no rust on these.
Yes. They're extremely sturdy. Ours is screwed into the drywall. They've been up for three months and haven't caused any issues thus far. For the price, it's a great deal.
Look behind the wall for a stud. These are meant to be 'industrial' in appearance. Just make sure to mount to a stud beneath the wall and use black screws if none are provided (I'm not sure).
I'm not sure I'd use them as tie backs. They're big (in size) and don't have the curve that tie backs do to keep the curtain in place when mounted sideways. br> It might work if the curtains were extremely thin. These towel and robe hooks are fantastic!

These are adequate for everyday use in the home. If you need everything to be perfect, I wouldn't buy it because a few of the pieces lost a small amount of their black paint upon unboxing, exposing the silver metal. Unless you look closely, you won't notice anything. The installation was straightforward. br>br> However, the hook portion of the wall plates could not be installed in the same direction if the logo was in the upper position. The threads on the three wall plates were all 90 degrees apart. To align the hooks in the same direction, we had to remove the wall plates and rotate one 90 degrees counter clockwise and the other 180 degrees counter clockwise. br>br>We got them all to look the same with hook orientation, but it's a pain that the logo is on each wall plate in a different spot, rather than all at the top. If mounting on drywall, I would also recommend being careful not to strip the drywall anchor while installing the screws. br>br>Overall, a good buy for the money, but don't buy it if you expect everything to be flawless.
br> They're tough, dependable, and simple to put together. We're so happy with them that we're going to buy a second set for the guest bathroom. br>I was taken aback by how heavy they were. br>The ONLY drawback (at first) was that no matter what I did, I couldn't get the "hook" section of the letters to line up with the base so that they were upright (sitting on top). I was initially disappointed, but after convincing myself that it didn't matter, it turned out to be true — at least for me. I'm completely smitten with these! Despite having a very good fan, our smaller bathroom becomes quite humid. The color, on the other hand, does not rub off, bleed, or rust!.
but. They have a great industrial look, are simple to install, and are quite heavy. Their finish, on the other hand, is prone to chipping. This is a simple fix with a black marker, but it's inconvenient because one of them was like this right out of the box, and another was like that after only a week of use.
For the past 6 months, I've had these installed. When I rub my finger across them or place a towel over them, the black coating comes off. I've only used them twice because I live in a hot climate and these are outside, but they're useless if the finish will stain the towels. I'm extremely disappointed. br>The shipper informed me that these could only be used indoors. It would have been nice if they had mentioned it in the description! These are made of metal, which is usually fine in the outdoors.
Solid. It gets the job done. It's a little bigger than I expected, and make sure you install it correctly; mine wasn't staying tight upright at first, so I had to reinstall it. Now that it's in the proper position, it appears to be capable of supporting a significant amount of weight. If you have other industrial furniture or decor, this piece will look fantastic.
This set of towel hooks is fantastic! To avoid damage during shipping, the item was well packaged. The hooks are attractively painted and sturdy. I dislike the cheap sheet rock anchors that come with them, and whenever possible, I try to secure them to a wall stud. When properly installed, they are extremely durable. In our newly renovated bathrooms, we used them as bath towel hooks. They go perfectly with our black iron handrails and rubbed oil bronze fixtures!.
These rustic towel holders were perfect for our farmhouse bathroom, as they were easy to install and very sturdy. These are fantastic!.
You'll need to do a dry run to see how they'll sit on the wall once they're screwed in. The first one I posted got a lot of attention. The second one, however, was not as successful. Before screwing the base plate to the wall, I should have given it a quarter-turn. I did, however, secure it with pipe tape. They're beautifully constructed. The color is a deep, dark black. That says it all! I ordered a second set.
