The hooks were glued to a pine 2x4 and used in a science experiment to test different super glues. We didn't use any screws. At 45 pounds, the hooks began to bend, and at 50 pounds, they completely snapped.
They could support that weight if the wine bottle was tied to a rope. No way, if you're referring to a single wine bottle.
What does it matter if it's iron and zinc?
The screws are included, but the first one I used broke. I did it myself:

My pinky finger is barely able to fit through the hook. Images that are deceiving. They're great for keys or a hat, but not big enough for a coat or towel. I was able to break one with my fingers just to see how strong it was, so it wasn't particularly strong.
For my project, the small hooks were ideal.
The hooks themselves appear to be holding up well so far, but the screws that come with them are a complete waste of money. When you put the screws in, they break right beneath the head. I drilled a hole for the screw that was slightly smaller than the screw itself, but it still broke. I initially assumed it was because I was installing them with a drill, but I also tried installing them with a screwdriver and my 10-foot ladder. year- I used a screwdriver to see if it was just me being too strong with the screwdriver, but the screw kept breaking no matter what I did. The only way to keep it from breaking is to not tighten it all the way down, but then the hook will move around. If you purchase these, be aware that you will need to purchase new screws before you can install the hooks.
We were skeptical after reading other reviews, but they arrived a day ahead of schedule and worked flawlessly. For the screws, we pre-drilled holes. When the screws were installed, only one of them broke. My daughter installed the majority of the screws without breaking any, but she is a nurse, so she has a gentler touch than I do!.
I bought these hooks for craft projects and they're great! I haven't had any problems with them yet!.
What is there not to like about this? These brushed nickel hooks can be found in a variety of places around our office. They're pretty, clean, and a great way to store shower brushes, squeegees, and sponges, and they're now also installed inside the tack area of my aluminum slant-back chair. load a horse trailer with extra bridles, halters, and other accessories, as well as serving the same purpose in another horse area - cross ties - So they're in charge of the halters, bridles, lead ropes, and harness while I'm tying up my horses. They're one of the most useful and attractive additions to our home we've made in a long time for such a low price, especially considering the volume of the order.
These were purchased to be used on hollow core doors, and they worked perfectly right out of the box. Because I was using it on a hollow core door, I didn't have to drill a pilot hole, and the included screws self-taped. These are a great deal for small jobs like that. br>br>However, the screws appear to be made of low-cost high-speed steel, and I'm confident they won't self-tap into solid wood or plastic. According to the negative reviews, they have a habit of breaking when screwed into hard objects, even after a pilot hole is drilled. If you're going to use these on solid material, be prepared to supply your own screws. br>br>The hooks are straightforward and well-made. They can easily support the weight of any article of clothing and also serve as clothing holders.
