Questions & Answers
Yes, a koi pond can be sealed with Liquid Rubber Waterproof Sealant. To reinforce joints, seams, and 90-degree angles, Liquid Rubber Seam Tape or Liquid Rubber Geotextile is recommended.
Yes, several coats are required. Allow 24 hours for each coat to dry completely. You can use a spray bottle to spray the pond's interior. For the outside of the pond, I used an undercoating product that is used for undercoating cars. I applied three coats of paint. Before applying the next coat, I let the previous coat dry for two days. Everything went perfectly; my pond looks brand new, there are no leaks, and all of my goldfish are fat and happy! Best of luck! Take your time and make sure you've covered all of the areas, including the sides. Before you begin applying chemicals, make sure the pond is completely clean. To clean the pots, I used a rough kitchen pot scrubber.
According to the installation instructions, new concrete must cure. Applying any of the Liquid Rubber products, or most waterproofing products, before the concrete has fully cured, may jeopardize the concrete's curing process.
No odor has been detected. There is a typical rubber smell, similar to that of a basketball, when you first put it on, but it doesn't last long. It also smells like rubber, which isn't a bad thing. It seems to work for me.

Despite the fact that I bought and used this product to seal my cement pond, I was fortunate in that I was able to contact the manufacturer. I learned that I would need to use a primer after asking a few questions. I couldn't find the primer on Amazon, so I had to order it directly from the manufacturer. I was told that if I hadn't done this, the product would not have adhered properly to the cement. I applied three coats of liquid rubber after two coats of primer. In my pond, it appears to be holding water, but I'll reserve final judgment until after the winter is over. br>I started with the Flex Seal product and found that I preferred it because it provided more coverage and was easier to apply. If you buy this product, I strongly advise you to contact Liquid Rubber via phone, chat, or the website to ensure proper application. When you consider the cost of wasted product, failing to do so could be a costly mistake.
er for an aging fish pond that was leaking. Both the Flex seal and the rustoleum sealant failed after about a week. Both a rubber liner and stone work can be found in my pond. Both materials were stuck together by liquid rubber. There haven't been any leaks in the past year. This product was recently purchased for use on a leaking shed roof. So far, everything has gone well. There is a slight rubber odor that dissipates quickly, and it sticks to whatever surface you want it to, especially vertical surfaces. It is 100% safe for a fish pond if used for a fish pond if used for a fish pond if it% I also used it to repair a small crack in a drain pipe; the only thing I would recommend is that if you're using it to seal a surface that's been submerged in water, make sure the area is dry first, apply a couple of thin coats every couple of hours, and let it dry for at least four days. There is a difference between cure and dry time; cure is fine if the object gets wet, but complete drying is required for constant water contact, which applies to all types of paints and sealants. br>I hope you found this information useful.
a fantastic item!.
Painted . I used acrylic paint to paint the inside of a concrete pond. Two coats of paint were applied to a clean, dry concrete surface. After a month of standing water in the bottom, I cleaned it out, and the rubber paint bubbled up and flaked off in several places. It was not able to adhere to the concrete.
It rained for about 6 hours after the first coat was applied. Our dining table did not receive a single drop of water. To double-check that everything was covered, I applied a second coat.
For the past 15 years, I've had a pond on my property. I've resealed it with a variety of products several times. By far the most effective product. If you use a thick coat, I recommend using a fan to speed up the drying process. I adore the fact that no mixing is required! When applied, the product is also very thick and does not drip much. I applied it with a paint roller, and it worked fine; cleanup was also simple, requiring only water.
This product is fantastic for lining your chicken coop with rubber! Using washed construction sand in the coop over the three coats of liquid rubber makes it a breeze to turn and hose out, and it stays spotless and odor-free. Especially when using a spray bottle to apply lavender or chamomile oil.
My tin chimney was the recipient of this treatment. On my chimney, there was a broken exhaust pipe. The pipe began to leak where it connected to the flat tin 2' x 4' cap. I put four different products to the test: Roof tar tube, rustoleum poly spray, and flex seal Nobody else was able to stop the leak. Then I tried it out and it worked great. The product's consistency and finished, dried state met all of my requirements. I'm extremely pleased with myself.
