I always have six people in my household. I used some plastic and a wire nut to cap eight open tubes of caulk, RTV, construction adhesive, and other materials. It worked in a way. These, however, are outstanding. It's simple to put on and take off, and it seals tightly. You will not be disappointed if you purchase them.
Wow, these are incredibly simple to use and repurpose. They're the cleanest caps I've ever seen, and they're doing a great job of keeping the caulk from drying out in the short term. I intend to continue using it, and I've already begun informing others. The concept and execution are fantastic.
When unrolling, these appear to rip easily. The material is either too thin or too soft.
It's not up to the standard of Red Cap's original. The first one used a caulk tube tip that had been poked through the cap. Caulk can be saved if care is taken not to allow the tip to make a hole. We can only expect "Quality" from the Chinese goods we buy.
I'm working on a lot of projects and I'm constantly using caulk and adhesive. It's incredibly simple with these. Even after a few months of sitting, caulk is ready to use. There's no need to dig cured caulk out of a tube any longer.
This works fine if you want to leave a tube of caulk or adhesive out overnight. The caulk, however, continues to harden after a few days to a week.
They were double-layered, and the caulk in the spout had not yet dried. Yeah, it's completely pointless. The next morning, the first 3/8 of an inch of sealant had hardened after I applied a double layer to the spout of a tube of sealant.
It's a great way to re-use an open caulk tube by sealing it!.
