Questions & Answers

I'm debating between this and the ar 500. What distinguishes the two in terms of appearance? The floors in the photos appear to be the same gleam.?

Hello Moses, the AR350 is a low-gloss finish, while the AR500 is a high-gloss finish. They'll both darken the concrete to make it appear wet, and they'll both last the same amount of time and provide the same benefits.

Is it possible to use this as a painter once it has been applied?

It is not recommended to paint over the AR350. Color packs from Foundation Armor are available to give the AR350 a "paint-like" look.

My own pavers are being made. I'm not sure how long I'll have to wait before I can seal them. ?

I let my pavers sit for a year before sealing them.

How well does it withstand salt and deicers?

Deicers come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Petroleum deicers should be avoided, according to Foundation Armor. Because calcium and magnesium chloride are less aggressive on surfaces than sodium and potassium chloride, salts will remain superficial (on the surface) rather than damaging the concrete below when a surface is properly sealed with the AR350. Physical abrasion from vehicles grinding salt and sand into the coating is usually a bigger issue than salt damaging the coating directly.

Exceptional item - Produces a look that is identical to the one described
5/5

After doing a lot of research on paver sealers on the internet, I decided to buy this one. Despite the fact that my installer had not recommended it, it appeared to be a good choice. As a result, I purchased a gallon of milk. My patio was too small for a gallon of paint to cover - 16 x 20 is the size of the image. I went out and purchased two more. to complete the project and apply a second coat of paint As a result, I bought three of these bottles. All three have had the same quality of product. br>br>Before submitting my application, I carefully read all of the detailed instructions and notes. I didn't want to buy a paint sprayer because I didn't have one. As a result, I applied it. It had been a long and exhausting process. However, it is my fault, not Foundation Armor, for this. I'd buy a sprayer if I had to reapply in the future. I took two days and six hours to complete this, but I imagine it would take one day and two hours with a sprayer. Perhaps a little less. Our pavers, on the other hand, were thirsty for it and soaked it up like a sponge. Given the unevenness of the paver surface (which was made to look like stone), using a 9" standard roller with the recommended 3/8" nap was extremely difficult. As a result, I used that and then had to get down with a 4" roller to get into the grooves and such. I'm wishing for a sprayer once again. The application appeared to be consistent in appearance. Stones that have been made to appear wet have been created. despite the fact that the sealer had dried I believe the photos I've included make the pavers appear glossy - That isn't the case. The finish is wet look with a satin sheen at most. br>br>There has been some water from kids, sprinklers, and other sources since application. Get your feet on the paving stones. It clings to everything. To get rid of it, you could use a blower. br>br>My biggest gripe is the smell. It's exhausting and lasts for days. However, I am unable to deduct a star for this. This is a chemical sealant that I applied to the large surfaces that border my house. It isn't water, believe it or not. These things do have a odor to them, but it quickly dissipates. br>br>My hope is that this will buy me some time before the next application, and that by then, I will have acquired a paint sprayer.

Stamped Colored Concrete Sealer is a fantastic product
5/5

Excellent product. This company provides excellent customer service. It had been about four years since the front walk with driveway edge had been sealed, and it was beginning to show its age. Following a thorough clean a few drops of xylene to emulsify some of the old sealer's "white patches," and my 10-year-old son Colored stamped concrete that's been in place for a year looks fantastic! I'll keep using this high-quality product as long as I remember to do the prep work and add some non-stick spray. I think you'll enjoy this product as well if you pay attention to the weather (not just rain, but also surface temperature, humidity, dew point, and so on). I applied two coats, with a coverage of about 300 square feet per gallon based on rolling both coats.

Initially, I used a sprayer to apply the product

To avoid leaks during shipping, the package was well packaged and sealed. The color of the paver stones is brought out in the first application. Will return to finish the reviews once the second rolled application has been applied and cured. br>br>Water beads a little in some places 2/3 weeks after applicationbr> After several rainstorms/storms, especially around the patio edgesbr> The gleam had faded away. THIS ITEM CANNOT BE RETURNED OR REFUNDED. br>Things are getting worse.

Thank you so much
5/5

To put it another way, it has a lot of coverage. Because the decorative face of the new concrete block wall I built is very coarse and porous, the product was absorbed as expected. A good pump bottle sprayer was used to apply a very fine coat. The absorption was similar to wetting a piece of wood in that it stayed slightly oily for a while as it penetrated the block's pores. br>br>The weather was nice, and as a retired industrial spray painter with 25 years of experience, I thought I could go back to back with my second coat for my course block application. 2 coats - For my approx. 2 gallon project, I used 2 gallons of water. There are 125 square feet in this apartment. br>The sealed color of the charcoal block pleased me greatly. It has a lot of body and no shine, which is exactly what I was looking for. br>Today's project is still ongoing; while working in the new yard, dirt has found its way onto the wall caps and dust has settled in the front. br>I've tried rinsing it with the water hose, and it cleans up nicely and even beads up. It appears that it is shut. br>br>Take note. My block has a split face and is porous, but it has chamfered or mitered edges. Those miters have a nice smoothness to them. As a result, the sealer could have easily slid/run like paint with back-to-back coats. So, if you're interested in this product, keep that in mind if you have smooth surfaces. My experience tells me that because of the viscosity of this sealer, when applying it to hard, smooth concrete, you should use light passes and stick to the instructions. Be patient and bring out smooth work one step at a time. br>br>Odor is a word that comes to mind when I think of a smell. Wear appropriate PPE as it will rock you back and forth. For about a week, the odor of the wall itself was quite noticeable in my case, thanks to the favorable weather. br>br>My final photos were quickies for my project; the first was taken before the others were taken; the shadows do not depict the wall in color. br>However, my wife and neighbors are very pleased with it.

It looks fantastic! I'm quite pleased with the outcome
5/5

It doesn't have a greasy or gleaming appearance. However, it enhanced the color and improved the appearance of the driveway. I applied it with a weed sprayer and only applied one coat. It took me 12 hours to walk around on it, but I'm going to wait a little longer to drive on it. I forgot to take a before photo, so I'm using a security camera image instead. I apologize for the poor quality of the image.
