I used it on a built-in bar b q stone in my covered patio. I can't imagine using it for that, but it's a high-quality product, and I'd trust the company if it listed tubs. They also sell other items. Perhaps there's one that's better suited to a tub that gets a lot of water. Best of luck!
The surface of lava rock is usually porous. Before beginning the project, we recommend performing a porosity test by saturating the surface with a small amount of water. If five minutes are required, If you give it ten seconds to soak in completely, your surface will be very porous. If the water sits on the surface for a long time before soaking in, it is referred to as a dense surface. The DOMINATOR STONE 16 ounce only requires one coat to cover up to 125 square feet. You'll need more sealer to finish the job if the surface is porous.
We recommend spraying it on and back rolling it with a nap roller.
I live two miles from the beach and don't have any such issues. Enhances the color of the rock while also protecting the polymeric sand used to connect the slate pieces.

On a 500-square-foot travertine patio, I submitted an application. I had a lot of product and was able to apply nearly two coats. It took at least 24 hours, and probably closer to two days, for the paint to dry. 3 days. Although it still felt a little tacky, foot traffic was not an issue after the first day. Although it has a low gloss finish, it enhances color. I'm very happy with how the product turned out and how well it worked.

I used a 4" paintbrush to coat the stones after shaking the container and pouring some into a small bowl. On pavers, a roller would most likely suffice. br>At least in this application, the product does not deepen the color as much as if the stone were wet, but it does slightly enhance the color while also protecting porous stone from the Arizona sun and heavy rain. It doesn't leave a gleaming or plastic-like appearance on the surface. This is a good thing. I expect to have to recoat the house in a few years, but it was an excellent choice for enhancing the exterior.
It's easy to apply and covers a lot of area, about 1000 square feet per gallon. It turned out fantastically! It appears to be in better condition than when it was first purchased. I would strongly suggest it. It will not be found for a lower price.
I believe the coverage was within the 400-foot range using a hand-held pump spray applicator, which I don't believe was as efficient as some larger spray applicators. For flagstone, the manufacturer recommends a 600 square foot application rate. Overall, the area was dry to the touch after 6 hours, with a few tacky areas where my application rate was a little heavy due to my own inexperience and spray pattern, and about a quart left for touch-ups and/or use on another smaller planned project. The following day, the entire pathway was completely dry. The sealant did help to bring out the "grain" patterns in the flagstone a little more - a pleasant surprise Because it's been less than a week since the seal was sealed, it's impossible to say how long it will last. This is a product I would buy again in a heartbeat.
It appears in the form of white milky splatters. You feel a little panicked, as if you've made a huge error. Relax. It will be clear when it is dry. It's slightly glossier than "low" gloss, but that's fine. I sprayed it onto a rock bed with a sprayer.
This concludes the discussion. It was simple to use a sprayer to apply it, backroll it, and work it into tight corners with a nylon brush. The patio looks great because it dried quickly. I'd recommend putting on a pair of rubber boots that you don't mind getting dirty in during the application process.
But don't worry, it'll dry clear. We used it on top of a previous water-based application. As a result, we appeared to have a much longer drying time, and the surface was tacky for a few days--a result of my dissatisfaction with the previous result. Rain fell within 48 hours, which probably didn't help.
I had neglected to seal the tabletop for all those years, and it was looking pretty sad. It had gone virtually unused for over ten years and pretty much sat out in the elements during that time. So I decided to give it a fresh coat of sealant. But I had no idea where to start looking. I couldn't find anything at Home Depot, so I took a chance and looked on Amazon, where I found exactly what I needed! With just a rag, it was incredibly simple to apply, and the end result looks brand new!.
