Any type of alcoholic beverage appears to be effective. Clorox wipes can be used if you don't want to dry your hands.
Yes, this is possible. It will, however, most likely take the stain differently than the repaired wood, so it will not be a perfect match.
Simply scrape away the punky wood (soft, spongy material) before applying. It'll work fine once that's gone and it's got a solid foundation to stick to.
I'd go to a store that sells hair dyeing supplies. The purpose of these bottles is to combine projects.

The epoxy appears to be of good quality. However, I am dissatisfied with the bottles they chose. Even if you use a funnel, you'll have a messy time pouring them into the small applicator bottle provided. The bottles aren't designed to allow enough air into the bottle to allow for easy low flow. You have to choose between letting the liquid glug out with splashes or gently tipping the bottle and letting the liquid run down the side. Given the price, I'm not happy with the amount I've lost, but I suppose once I get to half way, I'll be able to pour it gently without splashing.
If the rot on the over head is severe, it may be possible to gain access to the top side of the wood. Cut horizontal slits in wood with a dremel saw or similar tool to create a vertical wall. Gravity is your most trusted ally. I had previously used this product, but this time the transom of the boat was rotting. With a 14 inch 5/16 bit, I drilled two holes in the transom, two inches apart.
It's my third one. 5 gal PC- Kit for Rot Terminator. This product has been used in conjunction with PC-based software. For the past 20 years, Woody has been restoring windows and the porch on my 150-year-old house, and repairs to porch columns and windows made 20 years ago are still in excellent condition and holding paint. The wood must be dry, clean, and free of paint before being treated. free. Paint will adhere properly only after the epoxy has been fully cured and sanded. A PC-coated surface Unless the wood is still smooth, it is usually necessary to make it sufficiently woody to produce a smooth sandable surface. For long-term rot resistance, it works well as an end grain sealer. In cold weather, heat may be needed to complete the cure. br>br>Be sure to open your package as soon as you get it; Amazon shipped the factory box, which was clearly labeled "Fragile Liquid handle with care" and "This Side Up," packed sideways in an outer unmarked box, causing significant catalyst leakage in the box, resulting in a big sticky mess by the time I opened it the day after arrival.
An indoor plywood workshop floor was sealed using this product. I was very careful to follow the instructions. The materials were thoroughly mixed by me. I made certain that the space was both warm and well ventilated. The majority of the floor was completely waterproof and solid. Even after weeks, some of the "puddle" areas remained tacky. While buffing those areas out, I destroyed a couple of buffing pads, but the materials beneath appear to be sealed and solid.
A 4x4 floor joist was directly beneath a sliding glass door in my home. The floor flexed and creaked badly every time I went to open the door. I cut open the wooden subfloor and discovered extensive dry rot as a result of water penetration. I decided to use this method instead of tearing out the entire floor because the dry rot was limited to this area. I walked over to the door opening after applying and curing my makeup. There are no flexes or creaks to be found! The ground is as firm as a rock. Termite and dry rot protection, as well as added structural integrity. I don't know what else I could want.
This was absolutely fantastic. There was an 18" rise in the dock piling. There was termite damage that began about 2 inches below the top of the piling and extended about 12 inches down. Water had gotten inside and rotted the center of the post, leaving a 2 1/2-inch void with rotted wood. I cleaned out the damaged wood and filled it with PC rot terminator, which soaked into all the soft wood around it and hardened, making it a great alternative to replacing a dock piling! Because the jugs are so large, I used solo cups to pour each liquid into the mixing bottle.
Denatured alcohol was used to dilute the mixture. sprayed on the rotted area, it was quickly absorbed, and it is now plasticized as promised. In 70-75 degree weather, it took about a week to completely dry/cure.
This was used to harden some decayed wood beneath my deck. It was simple to put together, as long as you have a small funnel to fill the mixing bottle with. With the squeeze bottle and a small inexpensive brush, it's also simple to apply.
