Questions & Answers

Can I mold around a caster and place it in an open metal pipe? Will it bond to the metal screw on top of the caster?

One of the reviewers said it wasn't strong enough to keep the caster in the pipe, but I'm not sure how strong the epoxy is. So, what is the diameter of the caster rod and the pipe? You could always fill the void around the caster rod with epoxy-coated nails, but I would make sure the metal was oil and grease free to ensure a good bond, and possibly rough up the surface with sandpaper.

Is it possible to use this to secure a metal hinge to an aluminum plate?

Metal to aluminum can be bonded with JB Kwik. With 30 or 40 grit sand paper, rough up the bonding surfaces (not smooth them out). Apply a thin layer of JB Kwik to each surface, then clamp them together and let them cure for 24 hours (JB Kwick will "set up" in about 5 minutes, but a "full cure" takes longer). If you need a stronger bond (for heavy items), I recommend drilling through the materials and fastening them together with stainless bolts and nuts in addition to the JB Weld.

I'm gluing metal to metal, and I'm wondering if this is comparable to 3M body epoxy, which takes 24 hours to fully cure. ?

JB Kwick Epoxy takes about five minutes to set up, but it takes a good four hours to cure. I give it more than 6 hours to fully cure. When it comes to metal-to-metal bonding, there are a few things to consider. Ensure that all surfaces are clean and dry (residue-free). Lacquer thinner or Acetone can be used to clean the surfaces. Sand surfaces to be bonded with at least 180 grit sand paper (or 180 grit cloth backed sand paper) and clean up any sanding residue. Apply a thin layer of JB Kwick to each surface, then press and clamp them together until they are completely bonded. If you're bonding a large area, I recommend using regular JB Weld epoxy because it takes longer to set up and cure. Five minutes can fly by, and the JB Kwick will start to become too tacky after about three minutes, making it difficult to spread, so you'll need to work quickly. Prior to use, you should perform a "test" bond on the same type of metal to ensure that the bond is dry and strong.

Tubes are extremely stiff! It begins quickly and powerfully, as it does for everyone who writes
5/5

However, in comparison to regular J-clothing, it is extremely stiff. B Weld is stiff enough that squeezing it out of the tube can be difficult. It may also be difficult to determine whether the two lumps are the same size before mixing. Here's one way to go about it. Fill half of a plastic mayonnaise jar with water. Heat for two minutes in the microwave, then add the two J-tubes. B Weld. Allow two or three minutes for the tubes to warm up before drying. Squeezing the tubes and getting just the right amount of each is now a breeze. After mixing, it will begin to stiffen, so use it as usual.

Goodness in big tubes
5/5

I was tired of having to buy this from my local hardware and automotive stores, because they only sell the much smaller standard package, which is only 2oz in size, and they charge between $6 and $8 for it. This is a much better deal, especially for someone like me who uses this stuff to fabricate parts in the shop for design/build projects, etc. br>br>As for the product itself, it is great for anyone who hasn't used it before. It's simple to apply, sets quickly, and when fully cured, it's extremely tough and durable. You can even machine the material after it has been cured, as the advertisement claims. I do this a lot with how I use the product, and I've found that it wears extremely well when used in parts with a lot of contact and motion, and it taps well. So far, even when I'm putting a bolt in and taking it out repeatedly, the material shows no signs of failure or even much wear.

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a bird, it's a plane, it's No
5/5

It's JB Weld (this time in a larger tube). I've used this product for auto body repairs and it's fantastic. It did a fantastic job on a fender I repaired last year. In three small areas, it had rotted through. This product has a stronger bond than Bondo, is easy to sand, and is long-lasting. It's ideal for reinforcing a variety of plastic repairs. Super glue is also a fantastic product, but it does require some assistance from time to time. I've used Super Glue to reassemble a piece of furniture. Then apply JB Weld to the backside. When both products are used together, it creates a powerful combination. My repairs worked perfectly and did not break. I've included a couple of images as examples. It's a 2006 Chevy Colorado sun visor. The screw is a design I came up with to replace their flimsy and ineffective design.

J- has been my go-to for a while now
5/5

B Weld has been in business for approximately 25 years! J- has been my go-to for a while now. B Weld has been in business for approximately 25 years! It's something I use on a daily basis. It was in high school that I became addicted to it. That does not sound good- Glue has become a habit for me =). In any case, I collided with an O in my RC plane. I used this to reattach the metal carbarator, and to my surprise, it never came apart! Since then, I've continued to use it. The B Weld product is fantastic. I hope they never change the recipe in order to save money at the expense of quality. (There are a lot of products in the long run. ) The product appears to change over time as a result of the term. ).

It's not quite as good as the original J-Dream, but it's close
4/5

B Weld. This Kwik-Ease was purchased by me. I bought the Weld by accident; I had intended to buy the original type, but the packaging was so similar that I didn't notice the difference at the time; on the plus side, it sets up much faster than the original J-style. B Weld has the advantage of being able to harden like a rock, but it has the disadvantage of not being able to harden like a rock. When I went to grind away some excess material the next day, it appeared to be more "rubbery. " br>br>In my opinion, the first J-pop album is the best. Despite the longer curing time, B is still the best.

I've been using J-Creative for a while now, and it's a fantastic product
5/5

B Weld had been around for a long time, but he had never used the Kwik Weld. I ordered the Kwik Weld by accident, mistaking it for the regular J-Pen. I was used to using B Weld. I realized I'd made a mistake when it arrived, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. I must say that I am very pleased with this product, and I prefer the faster setting time for certain applications over the longer setting time required by the original J-mount. B Weld. When I've used up all of this Kwik Weld, I'll order more.

Strong and sticky with a dark gray gleam
4/5

It's a good product that's easy to mix on any old piece of cardboard; my only complaint is that it's always a gray color. Obviously, one compound is light colored and the other is black, so when you mix them together, you'll know you've done a good job when the colors blend together perfectly. If you're trying to stabilize a door lock on a chewed-up, beat-up wood door, remember to set it a little bit inside so you can cover it with wood putty, because you can't color it and it's always a shiny version of dark gray to blackish. It's tough and sticky, but its ooziness makes it difficult to adhere to vertical surfaces. I use it all the time; all I have to do now is be aware of these minor stumbling blocks.

This stuff isn't made by anyone
5/5

Nothing beats JB Weld when it comes to repairing rust damage in the wheel wells of a 2000 Eclipse GT. You can build a wall out of this and a fiberglass mat, then sand, drill, tap, and paint it to make a sturdy replacement for anything you can think of. This has been my go-to for over two decades and has never failed me. In a matter of hours, it becomes as hard as a rock.
