Yes! The key to success is planning ahead of time. After sanding the old surface and cleaning it with acetone, it's ready to use.
When it comes to craft coat, we do not suggest this particular application. Craft coat is an entry-level epoxy product designed for technique and color sampling; however, for maximum durability, we recommend using countertop epoxy or art coat for both the design and a clear protective coat for durability, impact resistance, and heat resistance, all of which are not found in craft coat.
There is a strong odor to the Art Resin. I haven't tried on the Craft Coat yet, but I doubt it will be any better. NOTE: I have a strong sensitivity to odors. Although I am able to detect this scent, others may not, so use at your own risk.
There hasn't been a problem so far. Just keep in mind that curing takes time! After a few days of not thinking, we set a hot plate, which resulted in a ring that eventually faded. We left a glass jar of sugar on the counter for a week and it left an indentation. After a day or so, it leveled out again. So far, the epoxy has produced excellent results.

CONTRACTOR FOR OR 25 YEARSbr>br>Over the course of several months, I watched over 30 Stonecoat Countertop videos. For the past 6 years, I've been using various epoxy resins. The advertised heat resistance of Stonecoat epoxy impressed me greatly, as did the training videos. br>At $115 per gallon, I finally bit the bullet and bought Stonecoat art resin. I've got a good chunk of money to play with. br>I called and asked a lot of questions before settling on the art coat because it works with acrylic paint pouring and alcohol inks. br>I made it clear that I would be working on bar countertops and tables that would see a lot of traffic. The art coat, I was told, was just as tough and heat resistant as their other epoxy. br>I received the product. I sanded and prepared a large table. Before starting the pour, I turned on the basement dehumidifier for three days. There was no dust, the temperatures and humidity were perfect, and the initial layer of pigments was poured. THIS IS BEAUTIFUL! br>I followed the instructions to the letter and finished with a top coat. br>I was stung by a stray fly! I was surprised that I couldn't remove and polish out their product, given how they advertise it, but I was told that I'd have to recoat the entire piece. This makes me angry. br>br>Completely repainted according to specifications. Beautiful and flawless!br>The cure took seven days. br>Place a coffee mug on top of it. Despite this, polishing is still possible due to our hardness. When polishing an epoxy that is too soft, it will lose its shine. It is critical to maintain this equilibrium. Objects will leave impressions, but once the object is removed, the impressions will disappear at room temperature. The epoxy has "memory," so it will return to its original level. You can speed up the process by using a blow dryer on the affected area. The material will become harder as it cures, but it is designed to retain some of this quality so that it can be poured over a wood or laminate surface. BUY STONECOAT COUNTERTOP EPOXY AT YOUR OWN RISK! br>They won't guarantee it if the material is bad! br>br>AT THE VERY LEAST, IT APPEARS THAT YOU WILL NEED TO KEEP A HAIR DRYER IN YOUR KITCHEN FROM NOW ON. After painting my kitchen counters to look like faux marble, I used this product to cover them. Because I didn't properly mix the two parts of my countertop, I had to redo one side. As a result, some areas did not dry. To fix it, I waited three days for it to dry as much as possible before lightly sanding it and pouring the product over the entire site once more. It had an effect. I then lightly sanded the other side of the countertop, which had dried perfectly in the first place, to achieve the same thickness on both sides, and re-applied the sealant. poured it all over it once more. Everything turned out beautifully! My countertop's edge has a few drip marks, and if I'd felt compelled, I would have repainted the edges with more product, but it looks fine to me. Make sure there's something beneath the counter's edge to catch any drips. I covered everything with a tarp made of plastic. Make a thorough mixture. It has a lovely spread. For at least 24 hours, do not allow anything to come into contact with it. After that, you must wait 72 hours before using it. I didn't even need a torch, but I ran it over the entire area to remove any small bubbles. It appears to be beautiful to me. My friends are amazed that I did it on my own. I'm a woman in my fifties, 54 years old.
Nobody has called me back in the last two weeks. I received an email asking for help with my problem (a full gallon of leftover resin with no hardener). Despite the fact that I've been doing resin work for years, I still use measuring cups and measure precisely. Part A is still in my possession. ) I made an offer to buy Part B. I'm not sure why no one returns your calls or responds to your emails. I've discovered a new resin manufacturer who will most likely become my new "go to" resin. It's a shame, because the StoneCoat product itself is fantastic.
All I can say is that I'm sorry I waited so long because this stuff is everything they say it is and more. My project isn't finished yet, but wow, it's going to be amazing!.

Take your time when preparing your counter and be patient. Before applying your accent color, apply a thin coat. When you use a heat gun, this will cause nature to move.
I'm not sure what these people who are badmouthing are doing, but they're not getting what they want because they're doing something wrong. Stone coat is the only type of countertop I use. You combine equal parts A and B, and it hardens in 24 hours; yes, you'll run out of hardener before you'll run out of resin. I have some resin left over. It isn't a major issue. I've redone my counters, as well as coffee and end tables, as well as art projects. I strongly suggest this product, and please contact me if you'd like to see some of my work.
