Are you removing the knockout from the bottom of the box in order for the extension cord to be able to pass freely?

As it's at another home, I'm not sure how it fits onto the box, but it fit on a regular one that I already had

At my local electrical supplier, they suggested that I use an ugly box as an adapter for their rectangular plastic box that wasn't designed to fit other shapes. I purchased this box because it covered my round box nicely and comes with all the supplies to do the job, making it weatherproof, which is what I was aiming for. It works well and is nice to have.
I was very satisfied with the results. It came in handy when I installed an outdoor light in place of a GFCI outlet. GFCI units were pre-configured, but the item included adapters so the unit could be used on a standard outlet as well as a round outlet for convenience. Separately, Amazon provided a "Buy all 3 option", which I followed, in order to receive a GFCI as well as the There is no need to purchase this third item, as it is part of the MM410CA here as well. You can save $8-$10 by doing so You can pass on adding 14 to your list.
A fifteen-year-old old tire had been worn out, so I replaced it with this The year is A round light box under a soffit had an old security light that needed to be replaced. I installed a GFCI outlet in the box. There were no issues with depth for the GFCI outlet on my round box (and this product does not have a round box, so the person writing the negative review had unrealistic expectations. had to drill holes through the backplate over the box and expand the GFCI outlet hole. Additionally, I had to purchase the A minimum of 5 inches) is needed In order to modify the site, a drill and needle were used. Pliers with holes in the nose. It didn't take much thought, measuring, and drilling in the end, but it did take some time. New outlets in the house allowed me to connect a Nest Camera and a new LED motion detection security light. In the event that I have any problems with its longevity or waterproof capacity, I will update this review. Thanks, and cheers!.
In order to convert an outdoor light fixture to a GFCI outlet, I purchased this product. The device fit very well into the 4" round box, but I had a shallow box and had to purchase an extension box (this one was perfect Bell is a The Rapo 5406 Weatherproof Extension Box) so that the GFCI outlet will be able to In addition, I used multiple screw thread sizes and lengths in order to get the right combination of universal crossbars and screws. A number of possible combinations (only one of which worked! tough time getting everything to In fact, I even had to drill extra holes in the backplate to make it fit.
I don't think this is a big deal. My aluminum tape didn't break when I just glued it up myself using some aluminum tape I had. With such a nice, sturdy construction and a wide range of mounting options, this is a really good, cost-effective accessory. The next time I buy, I will buy.
It installs in less than 10 minutes with a simple screw driver, and it accomplishes what it's supposed to. Thank you - The design of the box is different from that of the competition in that the "in use" function, aka the hole by which cables are routed, is in the center of the box, rather than on one side. The offset will be the same as It is particularly helpful since the user does not need to bend the cable, which is often tight and will extend the life of the plug you are actually connecting. It gets a thumbs up from me if it has the ability to use a lock.
A new pergola obstructed the light fixture, so I bought one to replace it. Even though the holes matched up with a standard round box, it appeared somewhat random. It was necessary to drill holes in the adapter plate to mount it. That's fine, nothing to worry about. However, once the screws were in place, the box did not fit flush with the wall. There was a gap that had to be filled with caulk. There was a problem with the GFCI outlet fitting in the box because it interfered with the bosses in the As you can see, there are a lot of issues with this kit. If I had the chance to design it, I'd avoid them. Customization is possible with this program.
Taking care to cover the round junction box, it went on without any trouble. Slide the cover onto the plate was a bit more challenging than I anticipated. I have encircled an atmospheric river over the past weekend, and it has weathered the storm comfortably. I am satisfied.
