This is a great cover for use in an in-use The extension cord works well with one heavy gauge extension cord, but we are unsure how well it would perform with two heavy gauge extension cords. This cover has an accordion gasket that expands to accommodate a cord exiting out of a hole in the lower corner and a gasket that allows it to expand to accommodate the cord exiting from the back of the plug. As soon as the cover is no longer needed, the gasket will snap back into place, so you won't see it. Overall, the cover snaps into place and locks into place, but can easily be opened to facilitate plugging in the cord(s). When I used a large or heavy gauge cord, I found the cover might not lock securely back into place or it might sit a little cockeyed It is 'eyed' when it is snapped into place due to the cord pushing through the slot or pushing out on the accordion cover when the covers are snapped into place. Choosing covers that are more likely to get broken by bumps from yard equipment, etc. is probably wise. It is well designed and easy to use. There were a few that I bought from Lowe's, but they were grey and my wife didn't like the color. On Amazon, they had the exact same color for most of the same price. So much better than those ugly bubble ones, and it works just as well as well as those!
