I do not think this is a 2 This cover is for a 1-gang device only. During periods of gang violence. I love this product. This is one of the largest I chose the use box because it was the most important feature. There are not many single gang cover boxes that are so wide. I had an old outdoor cover (not an "in use" one) that was quite wide, but I wanted to replace it with a standard size. I was unable to completely seal the hole in the siding of my house using weatherproof boxes. I thought this one was right for the job. In the case of horizontal outlets, you can cover both horizontal and vertical outlets. Vertical is the only way to describe mine. Inside the box, the provided plates (Decora, Duplex, etc. ) may be rotated according to the outlet orientation you need.
It claims to be 2 1/4 deep, but it did not seal securely on any of the 3 brands of extension cords I tried. Taking it back because it is no longer useful.
The pieces look great and perform exceptionally well. Everything needed for assembly was present, except for wood screws.
Box is shown as a double gang but it does not come with a back plate for 50 amps. I need the plate in case of hurricane power outages during which outside generators will be plugged in.
Although it works as advertised, it is way too thick to be visually appealing. I will eventually remove the item and replace it with a thinner one.
It was time to replace the cover on one of our outlets outside. I liked this one because it was easy to install and suited my needs.
