I've been there man, throw it down and use liquid rubber around the edges, it'll work in a pinch for a while. I patched a leaking roof on a trailer I used to own in a similar fashion. For a little more than a year, it kept the water out.
Squares made of foam? My RV's entryway is not one of them. They'd disintegrate and collect debris in the cracks.
It isn't acid proof in the least. It's not even close to being waterproof.
Neither appears to be the case. I went out and took some measurements with a micrometer. The mat is 0.25 inches thick. It's flat and smooth for 9 inches. It's 0 at the diamond's peak. 130". Images from my cargo van can be found in my review; it is quite tough.

Before you buy, make sure you check the prices on ALL sizes! Rubber is a product that I've used in the past. Cal mats were used to make custom floor mats for two different project vans. It's thick, but cuts easily with a sharp utility knife; the ends of the rolls are sometimes rolled so tightly that it's difficult to get them to lay flat - If you reverse the roll and/or leave it outside on a hot sunny day, it will help. Although the ends aren't always perfectly straight, the sides appear to be parallel. The mats do have a strong rubber smell, as other reviewers have mentioned, but it fades over time, especially if you leave them out in direct sunlight for a week or so. Finally, check prices on ALL sizes before purchasing, as they tend to fluctuate over time; right now (8/25/20), a 4x8 mat ($38) is a lot cheaper. A 4x7 ($63) is less expensive than a 60. 86). Perhaps you'll notice that the prices are different - Only Amazon's CEO, Jeff Bezos, understands how pricing algorithms work.
This arrived on schedule and in perfect condition. After a few days, I haven't noticed any odor, and it cuts easily with a sharp utility blade. br>br>I gave it a star for the listing rather than the product. I discovered this through a discount shopping daily email that I had magically signed up for, and it was listed as a two pack. I show it to the customer as an alternative to tile in a mechanical room, they approve, great, click the link, it takes me to the page, and I see the first image, which I believe shows two rolls, but there is no mention of it being a two pack anywhere on the page. To the seller's credit, they told me it was a single roll when I asked, but I had already shown the customer and they approved based on price, so I had to eat half the cost; even without that 3rd party email, I would have assumed there were two rolls based on the listing image. br>br>To cut a long story short, I appreciate clarity, give the product 5 stars (for what it is), and give the listing 4 stars.
Because my dog has submissive urination, I purchased this in a 4x4 foot size. He'll sit outside the door, waiting to be let in, because the cheap doormat I had before from a retail store couldn't withstand being hosed down after he peed on it multiple times. Now that he's sat on it, I can easily clean it with a hose. When I first unrolled it, it had a strong rubber smell, but I let it sit in the sun for a few hours, and since this is my outdoor mat, it didn't bother us. After three days, the odor had vanished.
This is what I'm using to add more traction to my dog ramp. It will work perfectly and appears to last a very long time; however, there was a shipping issue that was easily resolved with the shipper. Excellent customer service and a fantastic product!.
It does exactly what it says it will. Carrying this item is extremely difficult, even in the box. The foul rubber odor that lingers for weeks is a major problem. Even with a fan blowing directly on it 24 hours a day in the New Mexico summer sun, Oxyclean, and pressure washing, it still sunk up my house for weeks. It'd be unbearable if you lived in a small apartment.
It wasn't a big deal to me because it was only going to be used as a work bench topper. Someone else's project may be more important than yours in terms of exact dimensions. br>br>Nice work surface that cuts easily with a good pair of scissors.
The odor of rubber dissipates rapidly. Thick and durable. The odor of rubber dissipates rapidly. In the bathroom, my disabled mother had been slipping and falling. This rubber mat did a great job of solving the problem.
The cut sides are not parallel, despite the fact that the long sides are. So, if you're expecting this to fit perfectly, you're going to be disappointed. Purchase more fabric than you need and cut it down to size; I purchased 4' x 24" and while it is 24" wide, it was cut as a parallelogram with 1/4-inch seams. There is a 3/8" difference on both sides, which is unexpected and inconvenient.
