Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
Fit-Lock rubber tiles absorb shock and impact from heavy loads and equipment, preventing damage to both the machinery and the floor.
Each tile is 3/8" thick, 2' x 2', and measures 4 square feet.
Fit-Lock's seamless interlocking system eliminates the need for adhesive and makes these rubber tiles simple to install.
When covering a specific area within a room or laying the tiles wall-to-wall, the Center, Border, and Corner tiles provide a finished look.
If you want to reconfigure your set to a different size and purchase the appropriate amount of tiles, please see Tile Quantities under Sets.

Questions & Answers

Is it possible to put a peloton and treadmill on these without them wobbling on a hardwood floor?

Yes. Both are on mine, and the Peloton's feet can be adjusted to prevent wobbling. I don't need any additional mats underneath my gear.

Is benzopyrene present in the rubber used in these mats?

In the production of these rubber floor tiles, no benzopyrene is used or added. Thank you, br>br>American Floor Matsbr>-

I'd like to use these tiles in an irregular area. Is it possible to cut these tiles with a utility knife, and if so, what tools and techniques should I use?

These tiles can easily be trimmed down with a razor (utility) knife. If you only need to cut a few tiles, a utility knife will suffice; however, if you need to trim an entire room's worth of tiles, a tile cutter will be more efficient. http://www.br>br>https://www.br>br>https://www.br>br //www. amazon. com/gp/offer- com/gp/offer- com/gp/off /B07N4DBDMY/ /B07N4DBDMY/ /B07N4DBDMY Thank you, American Floor Mats, seller=ASIRD3RM6OQ4br>br>Thank you, American Floor Mats, seller=ASIRD3RM6OQ4br>br>Thank you, American Floor Mats, seller=ASIRD3RM6O

The money was well spent
5/5

I wasn't sure about spending $200 on something that didn't have any reviews, so I decided to leave one. I got the 6x6 and I'm in love with it. The money was well spent. Heavy and long-lasting. I have a squat rack with about 400 pounds of weight on it that I use. The rack does not dig into the rubber as much as I had hoped. Those concerned about odor will be relieved to know that I did not detect any strong odors. I didn't give a damn because it was rubber and would most likely stink. In any case, don't be hesitant to purchase. Each square is flush with the other and fits together tightly.

This is incredible

This tile is absolutely gorgeous! I had my doubts about how the puzzle would come together. I'm blown away by the way tile looks. The blue speckle was our choice, and it turned out fantastically. br>br>A local flooring store quoted nearly $4000 for this room, but we completed it ourselves for slightly more than $1000. We are so glad we chose that path. br>br>It took about 4 hours for me to install 10 boxes in an L-shaped room by myself. shaped, with a sliding-door mechanism The door is made of glass. When you're in the room, you can't see the seams at all. The animals, as you can see from the photos, are happy as well. I placed it directly on a concrete floor, and it is not moving at all. br>br>I discovered that cutting it with a carpenter's knife and changing the blade frequently made it very easy to cut. Obtain a T-shirt. In addition to being square, If your walls aren't square, simply cut at an angle. If you just make multiple passes without brute-forcing the blade, it will travel nicely. On the first try, I forced it. br>br>I also discovered that once the corner is partially lined up for fitting together, you can simply walk on it to get the rest of the nubs to pop into place. Simply stomp on the seam with your foot. Some pieces may be stubborn, requiring you to push them with your fingers, but this isn't a bad thing. br>br>At first, the smell is quite strong, but simply open the windows and use a fan to dispel it.

Toxic fumes that smell like they could strip your walls of their paint
3/5

I've taken up the flooring and boxed it in for the time being. I had installed this as gym flooring in a 12 x 12 room, but the unbearable, eye-watering, headache-inducing fumes didn't fade even after weeks of opening windows and blowing fans to the outside. The shipping costs to return the $680 worth of flooring that I can't use indoors is $314 via UPS ground. The fumes in and around the room where these were installed became unbearable again as soon as I closed the windows and turned off the fans blowing outside, which was weeks after unboxing them. After another full weekend of airing out the Central air vents with ventilation fans, I finally closed the windows and removed the plastic from them. The noxious odor pervaded my entire home, giving me a headache. Before going to bed that night, I had to pull them out of the garage and store them. Also, when removing the tiles, I started with a pair of disposable vinyl gloves (laying them with bare hands the first time caused some mild skin irritation), but I had to switch to my leather work gloves because the vinyl ones kept dissolving where there was prolonged contact with the tiles, much to my horror. Because this doesn't match the seller's description of "a mild rubber odor that dissipates in a few days," it's possible that the batch I received is particularly bad or contaminated in some way. Although I am not sensitive to odors, the tiles I received are extremely offensive. I'm still unsure how to return these because the seller's return label instructs me to apply postage as if I were mailing a letter. These are bulky, and the return shipping will cost you more than the item itself. I wish I had done a little more research before buying these because the binding agents used to glue the ground up recycled tire rubber together will most likely be off gassing nasty, toxic VOCs for a long time. Tires are only made of 28% natural rubber the remainder is made of petroleum based synthetic "rubbers" and toxic additive compounds. I'm not sure if it's the antimicrobial treatment, the crumb recycled tire material, the glues that hold it together, or a combination of these factors that causes the unholy, long-lasting sinus burning odor. However, for about $6 per square foot, I could have bought virgin rubber or much better flooring that wasn't likely to leak something (formaldehyde?). ) and launch it into the air. Purchasing these appears to have been a costly mistake.

Glorious
5/5

The shipping was a little rough, but they eventually arrived. They were well-fitting, and there was no stench that lingered after 20 minutes. It's a little on the pricey side, but when I'm ready to expand, I'll be buying more of this. (6' x 8' set).

The product is average, and the salesperson is average
3/5

I just finished putting these rubber tiles in my home gym. It took me about 45 minutes to complete an 8' x 8' area by myself. Unless you're standing right on top of them, they look great and appear to be seamless. However, I am concerned about their long-term viability. Some of the teeth frayed at the edges, despite my best efforts to gently press down the interlocking pieces (then smooth over with a light mallet). If you plan on assembling and disassembling frequently, I DO NOT RECOMMEND these tiles. They're going to fall apart. Even if I never move again, I'm concerned that the rubber material will wear out with regular use and cleaning, but only time will tell. br>br>As for the smell, when I first got it, there was a distinct chemical odor (similar to the bottom of new running shoes?). ) However, using a combination of three methods, I was able to get rid of almost all of the odor. I started by laying them out in the sun for a day, turning them halfway through. Second, I let them continue to gas off in my garage for another three days. Finally, before installing them, I cleaned them with a neutral PH solution (which was actually the most effective of all the methods) and let them dry. The chemical odor is no longer present. br>br>Now for one last point about the buying process. The first shipment ended up in another state, as it had for several other customers. They sent out a second shipment about 5 days later after some back and forth with the seller. So, while I eventually received the product, staying on top of things took some effort. Please do some online research and read Amazon seller reviews. This is something that happens on a regular basis, so be prepared.
