What is the safety of this food? Do you intend to use it as a counter top for tongue and groove flooring?

You can eat it without worrying about contamination. It was used on my dining room

What is 500 and what is 600 What is the coverage per gallon for 600 sq/ft? Is it recommended to wear more than one coat?

As a side note, I used it on furniture as well. In the case of table tops, I applied two coats, scuffed over it with 180 grit, and applied one more coat. Perfect every time.

What is the composition of this product? Is it oil-based or water-based?

The water is based on water.

Have you figured out a trick to get the wax at the bottom to mix ?

Using stirring lids and a drill, I have used something to get it done.

This is the finish I use on Olde Farmhouse tables and on any furniture I have with a hard wood top. Despite being an extra bit expensive, this is a great product. My husband and I tell everyone about Vermont Natural Coatings because it has no odor and dries very fast. The satin or flat finish is what I prefer. As an upholstery and flooring professional, I have used both products and I haven't seen any big difference in the products I use for what I do (make furniture). This was the first time I've bought it directly from the manufacturer. They have been A gallon was replaced for me when there was a problem one time! Then I brush on two coats, about 20 minutes apart (first coat soaks in a bit, so I don't use as much for the second coat) let it dry for a couple hours, sand any nubs off, and one more coat and its done!! In reality, there's no way you can mess this This is amazing for floors in the sense that you don't have to evacuate the house because of the odor AND that the floor is usually able to go on within a couple of hours! You can easily clean it up. Using the mixing top on the gallon can, I mix the ingredients. In other words. This stuff strikes my fancy, as you can tell! I love it.
