It is waterproof to an excellent degree

Waterproofing is one of the best products on the market. In spite of the fact that the fabric is not necessary, I added it for peace of mind and, in addition, I had some gaps greater than 1/8" so I figured it would be worthwhile to add it. It can probably get by with 2 gallons if you apply 2 good coats on the wall, one over your Hardibacker base, and two over the deck mud below the tile and mortar. If you wear rubber gloves, the stuff will get everywhere, and it will take some scrubbing to get your hands clean once it has dried, which won't As it turns out, a friend of mine was also planning to renovate her shower, and we split the 5 gallon container so that we will have roughly a gallon left over.

Prevents the water from getting in

We had moisture issue in one area of our floor, destroying the grout and causing the tile job to fall apart. The floor was stripped and this was put This stuff goes on easily, is thick, good stuff, and worth every cent. We haven't encountered any problems since we put in the new floor. After a month, I feel like I'm getting it now.

What is the point of using There is no reason for anyone to use anything else rather than these membrane sheets since they are so much superior to attachable membrane sheets

Having applied two coats of this stuff made it thick and pliable, but one of the outstanding benefits is that your thinset will grab this.

I really like the product

It was the first time I used this product. After watching a YouTube video on the application process, it was very simple I was impressed by how quickly the application was processed and how well the water was cleaned up. Now I'll be using this as my waterproofing product for sure.

Any bathroom renovation that includes wet areas must include this step. When you install tiles in wet areas without using HydroBan, you're likely to find leaks!.
