Questions & Answers

The square footage that one gallon coats is how many square feet?

In the first place, what wood type Do you have a floor sealer? what is the method you are using to apply thickener? Last but not least, how many coats are you asking for? When the answers are, red oak, Bona sealer, synthetic applicator, then each coat can cover 500 square feet per coat when the ambient temperature is 70 degrees F, and humidity is 45%. There is a great deal of variation in this.

Are you talking about a clear finish, such as a varnish, and can I use this ?

There is always a trick to applying varnish over paint. Waterborne clear varnish, Bona is used for floors. During the process of varnishing your painted stairs use a deglosser such as TSP to clean them. Additionally, a light scuff sanding would not hurt. The typical procedure for stairs is to apply three coats with a scuff sanding in between. There is a general difference between satin and gloss finishes, even though that is generally true. Please accept my sincerest thanks for your assistance.

What is the minimum time frame necessary to reinstall the refrigerator and washing machine after using them?

It is recommended that you stay at least 2 or 3 days. Move the appliances back on to the floor and protect it. It is especially likely that refrigerators will leave marks on floors

Regardless of the label, my finish is satin however, the sealer does not mention that
5/5

A flattening agent is normally included in any finish but gloss, a paste-like additive that settles to the bottom and has to be mixed into the finish. Then we might be able to figure it out.

This is excellent

One of the contractor's recommended us. A white oak floor is covered with this product. There is a high volume of The dirt from your yard or firewood melts when the snow melts. I really like how it looks. I was able to apply it even in a cold room in the middle of the fall, it dried great in a few hours. Various grain positions are present on my floors, including flat and edge surfaces. Brushes are used to cut in the first coat filler with the Bona applicator. After a few days, the stains will appear ugly. An oval pad of 400grit has been placed on a 16x22 screen. He put on his second coat. Secondly, you can see the screen. It looks great with the third coat. I used satin for this. Be sure that your side lighting is adequate for observing coverage rates. It is important to realize that a little buildup will show up at first, but then thicker areas will dry a little more slowly. Please do not re-phrase Please do not BRUSH unless you are able to immediately catch them. Overlap the wet on your first pass, continue your journey. If you get a drip, use a 3" nylon to brush it. You don't need to make it perfect. It will very quickly skin over. When it's warm but hot or humid, you should apply the cream. Make sure your doors and windows are open to get rid of humidity. You may walk in socks or a screen vacuum in 2 hours. Your feet should be covered in clean socks. Shoes are not the issue. There will be marks left by shoes. The walk-in service is acceptable in 4 A relative humidity of 50% will take about 5 hours. The price was well worth it. It has almost no smell. We take care of our pets. There's no harm in keeping the cats away from me. Now that you have this stuff, you can work during the winter months if necessary. We would not have fun if it were oil based. I am very happy with the performance of the product after three months.

I have tested Bona Mega and it appears to work as expected Don't forget to prepare! It is important to ensure that you are well (over) prepared if you haven't sanded, sealed or finished floors before
5/5

At the Bona Web site, you can view product technical data sheets and instructions. You can also watch Prepare all of the tools and items you will need and have them ready. It's a good idea to know what to expect before you start so you don't get surprised. There is a fast drying finish (hours) which works well, but we pole sanded between coats (we applied three coats) and left it for 24 hours to dry. Depending on how rough my estimates are, my room should have (on average) 500-600 square feet of finish There is 600 sq ft in the apartment. This is exactly what the Bona Technical Data Sheet said it would be. In terms of the two rooms that we worked on (finishing both of them in the same evening, moving from the first room into the second from the other) we are very pleased with the results. As of now, we have not seen any problems or discoloration in the light maple or cedar rooms. Be careful not to put yourself in Ensure you have a plan for escaping! We used more product for the first coat of finish (bottom of the jug) than for coats two and three of our project. Prior to moving furniture into the rooms, we waited over 24 hours before we spent time inside the rooms, as well as approximately a week to let everything cure at 68F (we did the floors in December, prior to moving into the home). It goes without saying that if I am a masochist enough to refinish additional floors in the future (and edging is the worst!) I will purchase Bona sealing and finishing It was the finishing of the project that was the least painful.

There's no such thing as too much There is a floor in the house that is almost 90 years old and in terrible This property is covered in 90 years of gunk, latex paint, shag carpet and no care was taken
5/5

Several weeks were spent sanding, scraping, sanding, more sanding, and then applying a brand of floor stain/sealant I bought at a hardware store. There was nothing good about it. There were tears in my eyes, and I was distraught It was a fresh start. The sanding gets more intense, the cursing gets more intense. As soon as I saw examples of the floor I wanted, I knew I had to have it There was an overcoat of Bona on them. A local store in my area does not carry it, so I had to have it shipped. To the best of my ability, my floor skills are equal to The best way to avoid doing it! It's not the Bona, but the "I". If I started with it, my floor would look great. If I were a tradesman, perfect. But I'm a maniac DIYer, so I spent a lot of time and energy on it. I'm a way gal, and everything about me is a way gal It was still very nice. Bona products apply evenly, smoothly, they do not bubble, do not swirl, lay well, take a medium amount of time to set up, leave you with time to work with them, & they have a medium set up time. This is a beautiful thing. There is no way I will ever buy the cheap junk in the store again. While that may have its place, for the look I wanted, as well as ease of application, Bona is the clear winner. A Bona top and a Bona HD bottom were also used by me I love the way you put it together.

This is the floor I had refinished! I am so happy with the result! After my first coat, I applied three more and sanded between coats
5/5

A few months ago, I used Bona Mega to finish my oak hardwood floor. The outcome was spectacular! After my first coat, I applied three more and sanded between coats. As soon as the first coat is applied, it is still rough due to bubbles and grains, so you should sand it after every layer with a pole sander (220 grit). It was amazing to see the results of the third coat. It will take two weeks for the floor to get hard and for furniture to be Despite the fact that this is a water based finish, the product did add a touch of brown/yellow to it. The fact that it added depth to my jacobean stain is really something I am pleased with, and I thought other people might find that info useful.

There is no better brand out there
5/5

There is no better product on the market for flooring solutions than this one. On hardwood flooring, this is very easy to use and yields beautiful results. Drying time is fast, which is an added benefit. When you pay for something, you get what you pay for, and this is excellent! I can't say enough good things about it. It is very commendable that my dad, who is a professional painter with over 30 years of experience, would recommend this brand to me. You will not regret buying Bona products! They may be a little more expensive than other brands, but defiantly worth the price!.
