For a broken spring, this is the exact replacement. (110 lb code) had white painted ends. Two cables were included, one for safety and the other for "assist," which goes through the pulley and connects to the door. This second cable was too thick for that purpose (it was the same thickness as the safety cable), but it wasn't required in any case. Both cables were significantly longer than was required (which is a good thing!). Duct taped the ends after cutting them to the appropriate length. My only gripe is that when I selected a previous order of two of these springs and clicked "Order again," it only orders one spring. I wished it had ordered two because they should be replaced in pairs, so I had to place another order. Doh!.
The short (7' door) springs were difficult to come by in our local hardware stores. I spent more money on the incorrect springs, which caused my garage door to not close properly (though I thought I could rig it somehow). br>br>These were definitely affordable and exactly what I needed, and everything worked perfectly after I swapped them in to replace the wrong ones. I've had these for over a year and they haven't shown any signs of wear or corrosion!.

With only a few tools, I was able to quickly install these. They didn't come with any instructions, but I did have another set hanging on the opposite side of the door. It was delivered quickly and without any issues.
