Thank you very much! That had escaped my notice! The i/8 is 168 inches, and the 3/32 is 156 inches, according to the package. The text has been updated to reflect this.
It will, in fact. Use the cables with a smaller diameter (3/32"). On one end, there is a loop, and the other end is secured by two cable clamps. There are also two compression sleeves included, which can be used to create two additional loops. You can also cut the existing loop and fasten one end of the cable to the hardware with cable clamps and the other end of the cable with compression sleeves.
I used this kit to replace the cables on my garage door, and it worked perfectly. It's impossible to say whether or not it'll work for you.
Doing it yourself will save you a great deal of money.

Because the previous garage door relied on an unseen torsion spring to counterbalance the door's weight, I had to install springs. Unfortunately, the cable attachment kit was not available in any of the big box stores. As a result, I purchased it. It had cables in two different gauges, as well as matching fasteners, which was a pleasant surprise. As a result, doors of various sizes and weights should work. Good product that performs identically to the original. It's the same thickness and length on both sides of the door, and it's very simple to install; it took me about an hour to replace all four cables on both sides. br>All I did was follow the same steps as the original installation. The old cable had a life expectancy of 18 years.
It was a success. Two widths were included, but they were packaged in a stapled ziplock bag: / I wish there was something to keep the cut edge from being damaged (I didn't have the necessary soldering equipment). But it completely solved my problem, so I'm very pleased.

Because the pulley cables were already looped, all I had to do was hook them on the brackets and thread them through. The 14-foot cables were just what I needed.
