Questions & Answers

The torsion springs in my torsion spring are. 243 x 2 x 29 = 243 x 2 x 29 = 243 x 2 x dura- That size isn't available in the lift, so I'll have to settle for. What do you get if you multiply 243 by 2 and multiply it by 33?

The 33" springs are not compatible because we recommend staying within one inch of your original spring length.

What size spring do I need for a door that weighs 200 pounds?

If you're not sure, there are charts pertaining to garage doors and what springs are required for your specific door. You'll need to locate the chart, which will tell you what springs you'll require.

It's 31 years since I last saw my old spring. Is the 33 going to work for you?

We recommend that you keep your spring to within 1 inch of its original length, so the 33 inch may be too long for you.

Is the door's right-hand spring wound correctly?

No, the right wound spring is on the left side of the door (from the inside of the garage). When looking at the door from the inside, the left wound spring is installed on the right side.

It's fantastic
5/5

Good product, simple to install after watching a few YouTube videos. Simply remember to lubricate the springs once the installation is complete. Otherwise, due to high friction, the door may not close properly, and the noise while turning will be reduced. Others were advised by me.

Garage springs serve their purpose admirably
5/5

To get the tension right on a 7' garage door, it took 30 1/4 turns. I double-checked the manufacturer's sizing guidelines before proceeding with the installation. A double car insulated 7 foot garage door benefits from new torsion springs.

Good fit, and these were slightly different in spec than the originals, being longer and one size larger in wire diameter
5/5

It's a close call. The winding bars are a little short.

Everything is in order
5/5

After one of my springs broke, I ordered these to try it out for myself. I contacted a local garage door company, which quoted me $325 for installation. These took about 4 hours to install and have been running smoothly for the past 4 weeks.

These springs were exactly what they said they were going to be. They were a perfect fit, and I was able to install them myself after watching a few YouTube videos. Now the garage is in excellent working order.

Replacement springs can be made at home
4/5

I'm not a big fan of messing with springs, but this wasn't too bad. I've had mine for a while and it's been working perfectly.

The product did exactly what it was supposed to do
5/5

The item was delivered on time and in good condition. br>After watching on-line video instructions, the springs were relatively simple to install; however, the dangers of spring back and balance should be better explained. If you are able, I would recommend hiring a professional to finish the installation because tension is crucial.
