Questions & Answers

What is the maximum weight capacity of this machine? What is the weight of the front door?

I'm not sure how much it weighs. My garage door is large enough to accommodate two cars.

Is it safe to use these springs on wooden doors?

It all depends on how heavy the door you're attempting to lift is. While wooden doors are typically heavier, this is a weaker spring.

How do you know whether you should put in 2" or 1"? Spring height of 75"?

Measuring your old spring is a simple way to get started.

How do you know if the Spring is to the left or right?

When viewed from inside the garage, the left wound spring is on the right side of the door, while the right wound spring is on the left.

YOU ARE CAPABLE OF ACCOMPLISHING YOUR OBJECTIVES When I told my friends about my spring break plans, they all advised me to leave it to the professionals because it was a dangerous job
5/5

br>I knew it was something I could do after watching a few YouTube videos. The job turned out to be a lot easier than I had anticipated. Unwinding the old spring (my door has two) and winding the new ones is the only part that is particularly dangerous. It's not that the job was difficult; it's just that you should take your time with it and, as some of the videos stated, DO NOT wind the spring in front of yourself. Just in case something gets loose or slips through the cracks. The only criticism I have is that the supplied winding rods are far too short; either buy some longer 3/8" steel rod (18" - 24") or make your own. 24"), or use your tool set's two extra long 3/8" drive extensions, as I did. This will provide you with significantly more leverage and make winding much easier.

This is an excellent substitute
5/5

These springs were delivered on time and in good condition. This is an excellent replacement for the one that was broken. Even though only one of them was broken, I replaced them both with a matching pair as instructed. I'd changed these springs before, so I was confident in my abilities. However, it still takes about an hour. br>Instructions can be found in a variety of videos. br>In addition, you'll save $200 by not hiring a professional installer.

Just before vacation, a torsion spring broke
5/5

We received new springs one day before we left for Punta Cana, as promised. I, too, had been out of town for a month and had returned one day before vacation. It worked out perfectly for me and my family to have the right parts delivered on time. Everything went smoothly because there was no need to coordinate with a repairman and no need to return parts. Torsion springs are difficult for a novice to install, which is why I gave it a three-star rating. You get five stars if you know what you're doing.

It gets the job done! We were unaware that a set of winding bars was included, so we ordered our own set of non-standard winding bars

slip. Because the extra set we ordered did not fit well inside the groove, it was fortunate that a pair came with the package. The only criticism I have is that the included winding bars should be at least 3 inches longer so that you can leverage the springs more effectively. Aside from that, this is a fantastic product that performs admirably. If we ever need to, we'll buy it again.

Original equipment manufacturer quality
5/5

Instillation can be done by watching videos on YouTube. The springs appear to be of good quality. For the past six months, the springs have accepted the required tension and have performed admirably. These springs were 30% or less than the prices of local garage door installers.

This is an excellent substitute
5/5

After the previous ones broke, I bought these garage door torsion springs to replace them. They arrived quickly, were simple to put together, and even included an installation rod. (BE SURE TO WATCH A VIDEO ON HOW TO INSTALL ON YOUTUBE-) in the interest of safety). It was much easier to set up than I had anticipated. They were the perfect fit for my garage door opener.

It was a straightforward issue to resolve
5/5

Despite the fact that only one of the springs had broken, I decided to replace the entire pair because they were both over 20 years old and worn out. equally. It's always preferable to be safe rather than sorry. The winding rods were included, and they arrived the next day, as promised. I added a set of winding rods to my cart because they weren't mentioned in the advertisement; they will be returned.

It's ready to use right away
5/5

It is critical to obtain the proper size, which the website can assist with. It's also crucial to understand the proper setup procedure. It's simple if you know what you're doing and how to do it. Otherwise, it's best to leave this to the pros.
