A new set of gears fits precisely to replace worn out ones. You'll mess things up if you don't know what you're doing with the limits and get the chain trolley jammed if you don't know what you're doing.

I was looking for something like this.
Replacement gear and clip that match original equipment perfectly. I found it to be very effective. You should be aware that if the main drive gear (the one on which the belt or chain is attached) is bent, the gear will not function properly. If the unit has a primary gear wobble, it's best to remove the cover and run it with the cover off. As a result, it should be replaced with the limit switch as well.
The replacement gear replaced the original gear in its entirety. All expectations were met as far as fit and function are concerned.
