How large is the object? According to the listing, it is a The diameter of the circle is 3 inches. It looks as though the part number is correct, but the length is an inch shorter than ?

As part of a recent purchase, I bought two of these and fitted one of them and kept the other. measured my spare and it measures approximately 15 x 15 x 3 inches. The diameter is 1 inch and the length is approximately 16 inches. The diameter of the globe is about 2 inches. It is about the same size as the smaller chain drive. The diameter of this circle is 7 inches. I replaced it nearly two years ago, and it works just as well today as when it was replaced. There must be an error in the dimensions listed.

How large is the object? In inches, I need to know how wide the hole in the center is, how tall the sides are, and how wide it is across. Is that all?

Without pulling the whole unit apart, we have no way to know. Five feet wide and three eighths of an inch

How would this work with a JG850 Challenger?

In fact, yes It fits like a glove.

What is the procedure to remove drive gear #P1012 for the challenger garage ?

The gear needs to be removed from the motor completely before the gear can be accessed. In some cases the gear may not be strong enough to handle the weight of the door. One of the new ones I bought has already been stripped of its teeth.

An effort should be made to make part. I was impressed with the speed and accuracy of the seller. Metal is to be used for this part. A new one got chewed up within a few minutes of being received. It is useless.
