This threaded stud tensioner fits 2"x2" metal and aluminum posts and has a wide range of adjustment. The hardware measures 4" in total length, with a 2" thread length. If you use the hand swage fitting on a post that is less than 2", you can use a power cutting tool to remove the extra threads. If you're looking for other end caps to go with different styles, look up MUZATA CB15 to find the POM end cap in a variety of colors to make your cable railing project stand out.

This cable railing kit is made of T316 stainless steel, which has excellent rust and seawater resistance and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, including coastal applications.

The SolidSlice system includes everything you need to build a cable railing project, including the cable railing tensioner Muzata CR23, stemball terminal Muzata CR24, level protector sleeves Muzata CR67, angled protector sleeves, hydraulic crimper and cutter suit Muzata CK12, and wire rope Muzata WR02. For stair deck railing applications, the Muzata CR25 angled beveled washer is recommended.

Is it possible to use these on 4x4 wood posts? Why are they unable to work, I'm not sure. I'm not interested in using the 8" components. ?

Before you can apply enough tension, you'll need to strip the nuts

I was excited to install this rail with these tensioners, especially given the low cost; swaging is simple, but tensioning them is a challenge. Before you can get enough tension on the wire, the nuts strip and lock to the threads, to the point where the nut twists the entire fitting before it tightens any further. Using a pair of vise grips, tension the cable by hand, then lock it in place with the nut. I suppose what you pay for is what you get.

To secure the cable, you'll need to purchase a large crimper

When I was installing, crimping cable into the stage proved to be a difficult task. I had to spend $78 on a crimper.
