Thank you for your kind words
It was only the manner in which the cable was cut that caused us problems with fitting the cable through the crimps. Cables spread if you do not have a cutting tool, and this makes going through the hole difficult.

When on a budget, you should just buy this and get started, it's not cheap and it's not going anywhere. It took me several days to research which product to purchase, and this will probably be the best value for your money. However, you may want to shop around on Amazon, since there are several companies that look like they drop-ship. I'd expect to ship the same hardware, but may be lucky and get some components for a bit There is much to be pleased with Please note
It seems to be of great quality (we will talk about the screws later). It was difficult to find any signs of hardware failure when it was being installed. The installation of 80 of the 80 sets has already been completed and I am working on installing 20 more. Please, all-- The process of swaging is less complicated than it appears. It is actually quite easy to run the cable once you've mastered it. I purchased the larger cable swage as well. The larger swage does not provide the exact same measurement as the smaller one, but hole #3 seemed to provide enough information. Please note
There is a lot of discussion about the wire snips in the swaging kit, but I have not had any problems with them. You need to make a single clean snap instead of ripping through the wire slowly.
- With some extra prep work, you can install this all by yourself. Even with my 6-foot-5 height and 250 pounds, I did not have any trouble tensioning myself by hand. Please note
If you are looking for more of an industrial look, this is the perfect choice. Thus there are more powerful systems on display than sleaker ones. Despite that, turn buckles are smaller than the kind you buy from There is a negative side to this Please note
Providing screws is a waste of time. You might have a better chance if you prepare Those holes might work a bit better if they are drilled every time. There were at least 1 or 2 screws that were going to scrimp out while driving them into each fixture in a run of 11. It looks like you were using a decent impact driver with heavy duty bits used for deck building. Or do you think you needed a lighter touch with a drill? Please note
As you need to fix the fasteners to the post with other hardware attached, it would be a nightmare trying to hold them all steady and fasten them without pre drilling, which would take a long time. In comparison to more expensive sets, installing the freeware is (probably) much more complex- "- Instructions are not given. Due to a lack of knowledge on which hole to use, I screwed up the first swage. If you want to do yourself a favor, you need to You will save yourself time, effort, and temper tantrums if you buy some decent screws before you start. Please note
If you review the local building codes, it appears that 3" of space between wires meets the minimum requirements in every state. Please note
You should buy a great pair of gouges. I found the rubber coated ones to be the most effective. Please note
When something falls through your decking (not if it falls through), put down something to stop it from breaking. Using scrap ply, I was able to move it around to each post as I was installing the posts. Please note
You might want to work on creating a template or jig to fix the hardware to the It took me a couple of hours to prepare a jig that I could clamp to each post, put the hardware in, and then screw it all Measure the top and bottom of the jig so you don't put it against an upside-down post. Marc the bottom of the jig so you don't put it against an upside-down post. It would have been 5 stars if the screws had been.
Usually I do not write reviews, but I enjoyed this product so much that I wanted to let you know what I thought. In my house, I wanted to make my stair rails more sturdy and I needed to do it on By the time a professional banister installer came to my house, he told me what I wanted (stainless steel cables stairs) was out of my price range. A crimping tool that I purchased from Home Depot made the process of using this product very simple (process was pretty simple except for the part where the tool had to be used). Exactly what I hoped for was the end result. Anyone who is a DIY enthusiast at any level would benefit from this simple to use program.
In order to ensure that we got this project right, we took it slow. This requires two people to get enough initial tension before you crimp it, and one of them must measure accurately. After learning a lot about the least important aspect, we tackled the most important one. According to my recommendation, things should be installed in the following order The steps are Demo, trim, sand, paint, measure, do one complete set, and install the hardware on all posts, then install all the wire and crimps. In addition. A blister has formed on my finger.
I think this is really cool stuff. Then we went back to the basics after looking at so many designs. I am very satisfied with the quality and the way the product looks. I thought it would be a risk since it was the least expensive option, but it turned out to be very Glad to be here. It was pretty disappointing buying the Muzata cutter pliers that were junk, but I was expecting nothing more for $10. Before they began to dull, I was about half way through (30 cuts). In terms of crimpers, I used a manual bolt cutter from Harbor Freight and a drill bit to drill 1/8" holes. It was great to have them. It was easy to crimp aluminum as it was lightweight. We bought more to do a second upper deck and were very satisfied with the results. In my experience, one thing I made that was very helpful was a jig for drilling In order to mount the cable to the middle posts, the ends must have two holes and each end takes a 1/4" thread. There were eleven sets of holes on the jig, all evenly spaced every three inches. The jig only took an hour to make, but after that it was ready to use. I got the jig up and predrilled it in a minute. An image of the jig will be posted later in this post. Seeing as each set of holes on the posts had already been painted, marking them in pencil wasn't an You must also pre drill the holes for the screws, which is VERY IMPORTANT. You may strip out the heads if you do not predrill. I predrilled my post and the screw went in easily. Even with predrilling, they went deep enough into my Douglas Fir posts that the wood would have to be stripped. Predrill and the rest of your life will be wonderful.
There was one baluster which would not obstruct my view out of the atrium window that I found exactly what I was looking for. Since I've never done anything like this before, I was concerned about how difficult it would be to use. This product was very easy to install once we created a template to mark the hole for the anchors. Do not forget to secure the wire loop protectors or turnbuckles (depending on which side of the bracket you are on) before you screw in the second screw. It was easier for me to prepare in advance The holes for the screws should be drilled straight so they will stay This kit does not include wire, crimper, or wire cutters. If this kit had included cable protector sleeves, they were $50 for 50 pieces - I would have liked to have this included. It takes two holes per hole to go through a post. There is only one complaint I have, and that is that the screws strip more easily than I expected. In addition to this, there are NO EXTRA screws, crimp pieces, or wires to protect the end loops, so if you strip a screw or break anything, you have to open another pack completely. As with every pack already costing $4 (before wire/tools/sleeves), and 40 packs of them needed, it adds up quickly.
