Check to see if this will fit your metal fence post

Perfect for my mail swing. The mail swing comes with an extension and a cap for the extension. However, because I am not using the extension, I required a larger cap to cover the horizontal beneath my mailbox. To see what I'm talking about, look at my photo and the Google Mail Swing. Someone came by and battered my mail box with a baseball bat. My mail box will now make a large arc and swing around in a circular arc if someone hits it because I just attached the horizontal part of the mail swing to my wooden post. If my wooden fence post is destroyed, I'll use the extension and secure everything to a metal fence post.

I went to Amazon to see what was available. The only difficulty I encountered was obtaining precise measurements. I finally found the right size after some trial and error, but since my gate is black, I needed to paint it. Everything is now in order.

They're so gleaming that they look fantastic as a finish for my deck posts. The only problem is that to match their gleam, I'll have to paint my galvanized hardware with silver metallic paint!.
