Questions & Answers

I have a LW25 and a LW45 in my collection. Is there a difference between the LW45 and the LW25 in terms of how much I need to use? Have you been unable to locate any instructions on the bottle or in the instruction manual?

According to page 6 of the user manual, for LW 15/25, use one sample bottle (that comes with the unit), and for LW 45, use both sample bottles. Regrettably, I no longer have the sample bottles that could tell me the volume of the bottles. If you still have those bottles, you should be able to figure out how much to use because one dose of water treatment additive is three ounces. 5 fl. Oz. one black mark on the left side of a large bottle If that doesn't work, I'd call the Venta hotline at 888 333-4444 for assistance. 8218 I hope this has been of assistance.

Has this been compared to other water treatment options?

Yes, the Best Air Golden Solution from Lowe's or Amazon will do the trick for a lot less money. I've been using Venta products for over a decade and have tried a few different solutions. The Venta and the BestAir appeared to work in a similar way. It effectively removes dirt and hard water deposits.

Is it really necessary to keep track of every ten minutes? Because it is so expensive, do you have a 14-day rule?

The Water Treatment Additive isn't needed to run the machine. When you have hard water, however, we strongly advise that you use it on a regular basis. If you don't use the Water Treatment Additive, you'll have to clean your Airwasher more frequently, regardless of how soft your water is. Dish soap and vinegar are good options
3/5

For the past ten years, I've had Venta Airwashers in each of my rooms. When I needed it this season, the water treatment was out of stock. I settled on a few squirts of (hand) dish detergent and a quarter cup of white vinegar in place of regular use of Venta water treatment and annual use of Venta cleaner after a lengthy and frustrating web search. So far, regardless of cost, I've found this to be a superior option. br>br>Venta provides a variety of rationales for their additives, in order to divert our attention away from the possibility that we've bought into a razor-thin product. spoon-blades, and-blades business model based on and-coke To properly evaporate, the water must first form a film. That can be taken care of with a little soap. br>br>Sediment construction br>br>Sediment construction br>br>Sediment construction Every time I changed the water, I had to clean off brown gunk from the "gear" portion of the spinning disk arrays with an old toothbrush. I live in a filthy city with a complex water supply. Your results may vary, but one of the Venta Airwasher's functions is to trap dirt in the air. The fact that the airwasher needs to be cleaned indicates that it is working. This was the step I always dreaded (even more than paying for additives). With my homemade solution, the brown gunk comes off much easier, and I don't think I'll ever need to buy Venta cleaner again. Any water treatment should, in theory, be able to double as a cleaner, eliminating the need for a separate cleaning product; mine does; theirs does not. br>br>In addition, the water should not be "off" between changes. Dish soap by itself cannot be relied upon in this situation. Have you ever smelled a damp sponge that has sat in the kitchen for too long? That sponge has been exposed to food, whereas the Venta water has no natural food source. Nonetheless, after one incident of smelling like a forgotten gym bag, the Venta Airwasher may have to be discarded, so I proceed cautiously. Like light or earthquakes, pH has a logarithmic scale, and it only takes a small amount of acidity to kill most life forms. I can barely smell a quarter cup of white vinegar at first, but I think it's important for the "self-cleaning" nature of my solution, and I see no signs of damage from the acidity, so I keep using it. br>br>In addition, my units are old enough that when the water level drops, they "squeak" once per revolution. This is not how I want to wake up. Since switching to this homebrew solution, there hasn't been a single squeak. I'm not sure why, but I'll take it for what it's worth. br>br>As a result, I'm completely satisfied with this homebrew solution. When using a Venta Airwasher, be careful of placebo effects: I have expensive humidity indicators, and to get measurable humidities from a large unit every 400 square feet, I need to block exhausts in my apartment and possibly kickstart with a pot of boiling water. At best, I see 30% humidity, which is still much healthier than humidity in 2015. I have friends who live in similar scale apartments and use smaller Venta Airwashers, so I'm not here to burst their bubble, but the placebo effect is a real concern here. So, how am I getting along these days? I'll have to fill each unit twice a day, which is fine. It's now easier for me to clean my units, which is great. The water does not turn off, which is a good thing. I'll take it if everything else is just a placebo.

Inadequate Directions in the Matter of How much should I use? This item was purchased to go with my new Venta LW25 Air Washer

"See Back Panel and User Manual for Other Cautions," says the bottle label on the front panel. There was no such thing as a "user manual" in this situation. "One dose of Water Treatment Additive is 3. 1. Change the color of the line on the back panel of the bottle label to make it more visible. Rework the bottle label on the front panel to match the chosen color. Calcium deposits can be avoided and controlled with this supplement
5/5

In the winter, we have forced hot air heating, which tends to dry out the air. I wake up with a sore throat from dryness if I don't use the Venta airwasher; with the airwasher, my throat feels fine. I use tap water in the airwasher, and we have hard water from a well. I use water treatment because it's required for the humidifier to run properly and prevent calcium deposits on the walls and turbines. I clean the tank every two weeks because there is sediment on the bottom. I use Simple Green cleaner to clean the tank (a one gallon concentrated solution is relatively inexpensive). br>br>One thing I wasn't sure about when I first got the big 35 oz bottle of the solution was how I was going to measure out the correct amount of solution for each application. When I first opened the bottle, I noticed that the label had lines on it that indicated how much to use each time; each dose is 3. Every 10 to 14 days, 4 oz. should be added to water. According to the label, there are 11 doses, which equals about 6 months of use. The bottle can last more than one season if you humidify for less than six months per year. The product's shelf life, on the other hand, is indicated as follows: If not opened, the shelf life is 30 months, and after opening, it is 12 months. I'm not sure if a 12-month shelf is a real shelf or if Venta is attempting to sell each customer an annual subscription. br>br>Please keep in mind that this water treatment is not a substitute for Venta Airwasher Cleaner (8. 5 oz) that must be used once a year before I put the unit away for the summer when we are not using it. br>br> The water treatment in the Venta airwasher is as follows: quatemary ammonium chlorides, water, and a water softening agent br>br>Review of Ali Julia.
